It's ok... really.

The installation depends on where your services currently come in your home. They have to place a piece of equipment called an ONT and a Battery back up unit, the Battery unit will be inside somewhere. Ours is in our garage right next to where the NID was for the copper phone services. Then they ran ethernet from that to where we were having a jack installed for the internet. It went through our basement and then a hole drilled into the wall for the jack. We don't have fios TV available here yet so I don't have that some day. Really, the installation tech's are all very good about discussing the installation process and working with you to place everything. If they aren't talking to you about it before doing it then ask them where it will be run.
