Donating YT 11K Club Member | I got a weird bite I woke up this morning with a weird looking something on my left hip. It looks like a tadpole, it's round with a tail, but it's red, almost like a burn and the round part has a red ring and yellow in the inside like if theres venom or something. It's the strangest looking thing and i have noo idea how i got it. It doesn't hurt but when i press on the yellow i can feel it. My mom also killed a centipede today, she said she found it crawling around.

| Sounds icky and painful! It sounds like a spider bite, or at least some kind of bug bite. If it doesn't get better by tomorrow morning, see your doctor. Sometimes they can get worse, swell up, or cause a skin ulcer... I was once bitten on the calf by a spider that caused a big bite mark with a yellow thing in the middle. The two fang marks were 3/8" apart, and turned into blisters, which turned into one big huge venom filled blister about 2.5" in diameter! I had to go to the doctor to get it checked out, and he had to drain it out carefully and test the venom. It had started to ulcerate my skin, so I had a couple prescriptions to fight off the venom and heal the skin. Now, what's so creepy about this is that there are no spiders in MN that bite people that have fangs 3/8" apart, and when they tested the venom it came back as NOTHING in the US! I had just gotten back from a cruise 2 days before the bite, and they think somehow a HUGE tropical spider hitched a ride along with me!

| Eek, sounds scary looking. I'm sorry, I can't help...maybe a nurse or doctor will have an idea of what it could be. Good luck, I would probably go to the doctor.

| Go to this site and see if there is anything there that resembles your 'bite'...Some of the pictures are a bit graphic. No queasy stomachs. Spider Bites Last edited by sammiz; 05-06-2008 at 08:20 PM. Reason: graphic warning |

| Has the "tail" on the spot spread any further...like gotten longer? If it has, it could mean an infection and it's headed for your lymph system. My son got bit on his thigh by spiders and he had three bites that sound much like yours, and from each bite, there were large, red streaks going upwards. By the time I got him to the doctor, it had already gotten into his lymph system. He ended up in the hospital on iv's and it even affected his vision. If that area looks like it has spread, you better see a doctor asap! I hope it clears up quickly!
