| Saturday Afternoon - Wine Anyone? Well, it's now past noon central time ... time to crack open a bottle of Riesling. Anyone want a glass? What wines do everyone like (or dislike)? I'm a big fan of Merlot and usually hate whites, until I tried a Riesling this past week. Mmmmm!!! Yummy! |

| I've never been a big drinker until we went to Italy one summer. From there, I fell in love with the desert wines. My favorites are Moscato & Lambrusco. Give me a bottle of either & I can drink them like they're grape soda! They're SO yummy! BTW - we used to live in German wine country where they make the Reislings.

| Since I cook a lot of Italian foods, we like a nice red wine on the table. I don't like any over 11% alcohol though. |

| I have never like wine. Everyone else in the family drinks it, I can't stand it. Don't know how to put this - is it something you "get used to" and then start liking, or y'all liked from the get go?

| Mojo, no way! You just need to find the right one for you. Some are sweet, some are dry, some are outright vapory. I never liked any until I tried the Italian desert wines. Now, I'm hooked. The good ones taste like sparkling grape juice (which, really, that's what it is!)! The best way to get a feel for what you like is to maybe attend a wine tasting event. HTH!

YT 2000 Club Member | My husband is the same way, he has yet to find a wine that he likes, He likes Millers Genuine Draft when he gets beer, I on the other hand do not like beer at all, can't take more than a sip if I work up the courage to try a taste! But I love wine!

| I am just seeing this thread too but it is noon SOMEWHERE! I LOVE wine, especially a nice White Zinfidal or Reisling. As long as it is a 3 or 4. I haven't aquired a taste for Red wine though. I lived in the Blackforrest of Germany for many years and that is where I aquired my tast for wine. I personally think beer tastes like rubber bands, so I never could drink it.
