| American Girl Dolls and similar companies Does anyone know of any other companies like American Girl Dolls? I always collected American Girl Dolls growing up but I was wondering if there are other doll companies like this. I remember there being something similar to this when I was little but can't remember the name of the company. Please let me know if you know of anything thanks!

| There used to be a very small doll company right in Moorestown, New Jersey, but they went out of business. The dolls were about 10" tall. The dolls were called "It's Me". I can't think of any other company like "American Girl" though - what years are you talking about? I collect dolls.

| Probably like 1996-1998, they were like twin dolls or something like that. they had magazines and books similar to American Girl dolls i just can't remember the name.

| There's some kind of doll out there that you can customize to look like your daughter. My girls are older now so I don't remember what they were called. My girls did the Bitty Baby stuff (a part of American Girl) and still have so much clothes and accessories. They pull it all out when their younger cousins come to visit. I was always SO impressed with the Bitty Baby clothes. Their quality was great - the little shoes especially! I would always watch their clearance specials and buy the outfits then.

| yeah I had about 7 American Girls and a bitty baby and I just bought my niece a bitty baby. The company where you get dolls to look like your kids is what i'm thinking of. Does anyone remember the name of this company?

| You're welcome. I remember thinking about getting those for my girls when they were younger but they just weren't all that in to dolls. The Bitty Babies were okay but they didn't even play with those all that much.

| Another company is Magic Attic. They have dolls of different nationalities and interests and books about them. They don't make them any more but you can find them on ebay. They have all kinds of neat accessories and outfits like the American Girl dolls, but they are hard bodied instead of soft body. Same size though, 18" but more slender.
