| need help with a paint color my bathroom is gray(bathfitters) big mistake,, anyway i want to paint the top walls a different color.. im not into bright colors. i do like modern earthy colors.. the white has to go... im going nuts figuring what goes with the gray for the top walls.. i was going to go with a darker gray, but i dont think its a good idea,. i really like colors in the tan family, but dont think tan goes good with gray in the bathroom.. i want to change shower curtains and window curtains of course. please help me out..

| Hmmm well if you did curtains with gray and tan/copper stripes then you could paint the walls a tan color and use the curtains and accessories to pull it all together. Or you could do a green with the gray which is still earthy just in a different (cooler) color palette. However, I like your initial idea of the darker gray. That would allow you to bring in colored accents.

| i think yellow works very well with grey..especially a nice soft, pale yellow!

| although i do watch hgtv all the time and they always use dark colors.. my bathroom isnt that small and i do have that large wall cabinet in white.. i will also try to paint the sink cabinet in the same dark color. what do you think about that?

| I would do Benjamin Moore's antique ivory color. I love that color and I think it would match perfect.

| I also painted my walls awhile back a color from Behr called Contemplation 700-E... it is a really nice cool tone color... which it seems is what you are looking for... it looks greyish, blueish, greenish.. different shades at different times .... |
