Thanks for the link, that was fun! Mine is Inland North |
I got inland north....born and raised in MN and now live in Iowa...I guess that would make sense :) (Oh, and it's POP!!! ;) ) |
I got: "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. However in real life, I am told by everyone I have one the strongest Boston accents anyone has ever heard! hhhmmm :) LOL |
What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Northeast Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak. You couldn't get any more Southern than me!! I have never been to Jersey, NYC, Connecticut or RI, although I hope to visit them some day! We have been North, West, South and was born/raised in Alabama!! :p Just never had an opportunity to go East [yet]! |
midland..perhaps florida |
Mine is midland north! Im from chicAgo so it was right on the money for me. And no Im NOT from WisCONsin! altho I do like cheese curds! |
midland accent.. how boring.... |
Midland which is right on since I have lived in S. IL all my life (even though I tend to pick up a southern accent when we visit my dad's relatives in TN.) |
mine was Midland! but when I moved from Mo. to Iowa- everyone thought I had a real southern draaaaawwwwllllll! lol! |
yep.... southern gal here! d |
Midland here too! :D |
Mine is Philly: :hmmm33: But, I really don't have an accent. I'm from Florida! |
Wow it worked! :p What American accent do you have? Your Result: The West Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta. |
I got North Central...second and third were The West and Boston. All the graphs look the same on all three...so I guess it was close since I grew up just north of Boston. I don't really have a Boston accent, though. Only a few words give me away ;) |
Mine said Inland North, which is Wisconsin and Chicago!! I'm born and raised in California!! But I work for United and they're based in Chicago!! |
I result I got was The West....kinda funny seeing that I speak appalachian |
I have a Midland Accent. Funny - I was born and raised in Florida, moved to Georgia as a Teen, lived there for 10 years before getting married and moving to Denver, Michigan, New Mexico and then back to Georgia. To anyone who has heard my voice -- I DON'T HAVE AN ACCENT -- what you are hearing is a figment of your immagination! |
I got Northeast and they're right:) |
The Inland North! Born and raised in Ohio! I do call carbonated beverages Pop! |
The Midlands here...did you find yourself sounding out the words to really see if they sounded different? |
Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." I have noticed so many different "regional accent's" in Michigan. The UP is different from the Trolls (you know, us that live below the bridge). The Western UP has more of a Scandinavian input. The SouthWestern part of the state has a mixture of Southern & Chicago. The counties that border Indiana pick up some of the Northern Indiana accents & pronunciations. |
Mine came out boston. |
What? Am I only person here that talks right and has no accent? :D JK, mine is inland North. Pretty good, since that's where I live. We do get accused of having nasal A's. |
Im Philly |
What American Accent do you have? The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saving "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Flordia or Charleston or one o fthose big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. Youu have a good voice for TV and radio. Well...I am from Southern Ohio so I guess this quiz hit the nail on the head! |
