About the same time as Lexi's rash maybe? That's something
different in the house, isn't it?

I've been using it since Maddie came back home. That's when her pee pee problems started. I know she peed in Lewis house alot.

so i wish it was something new but no. i acutally wrote down everything that i use to clean with, etc. and nothing new. jill even gave me the idea if i'd used diff. shampoo stuff on maddie or different treats, but no to that also.

Poor Denise ...that's alot to be hit with - and I really hope its not Maddie - why would it start now after all this time with them together ?

So you are having surgery on your sinuses?
I had that done twice. The first week is the worst mainly because of the packing, once it is removed you start to feel better.
You will be so glad you had the surgery done, it makes such a huge difference, I am so glad I did, it was totally worth it.

As for allergy shots it isn't as bad as it seems, at least not where I got mine. The needle was very tiny, you didn't even feel it. I have seen several young children go there on a regular basis and do great with getting the shot.
I was allergic to dogs and cats. I couldn't even be in the same room as a cat but I have cats as well as dogs.
I was on the allergy shots plus medicine for about 4 years and it has improved my allergies a ton. I no longer have to get the shots or take the medicine and I can be around dogs and cats without any problems.


I will be saying a prayer that everything goes alright with your and your family.

I have sinus surgery on April 22nd its my second one too. I have the first on in 1998. Its was TERRIBLE!!!! but they had to move my septum over then so hopefully this time it wont be as bad.

that was my question to the doctor, i guess your body changes especially at this age. and he said when you get much older you'll go thru another change. sometimes new allergies will pop up and old ones will be gone.

Wow...I am so sorry you are going through so much! I can't imagine...Hugs to you and hoping everything gets better soon.

I just thought of something though. Mattie has been around for 2 years except for the time she was missing and Lexi didn't have symptoms until recently. And the doctor said at Lexi's age their bodies change and they can develop allergies. So if she could have developed an allergy to a dog, isn't it possible she could have developed a new allergy to food or a cleaner that has always been used as well?

Hey...that's a good point! I guess the scary thing is the bad reaction she had to the dog allergy test. It's just got to be something other than miracle Maddie.

Denise, sorry to post again. I know you have tons on your already over loaded
mind! Just another thought!
My 7 yr old granddaughter, this past year, has developed a raised rash
on top of both her hands. It appears to be a form of exema. A cortisone
cream was prescribed but did not much good. I have exema and found
that Aveeno now has an exema cream. I bought her some and low and
behold it cleared it up!. Dosen't hurt to try. I swear by it.
Any drug store or food chain sells it. It is strickly for Exema.
Oh I hope this helps you. That also is a raised, dry rash. If itched it can
bleed.

How do they do allergy testing? Did they actually test her against Maddie or was it just a general "dog" allergen? I just know people can be allergic to some type of dogs and not others.

Saliva is a big thing...most people are either allergic to the saliva or the dander from a pet.

Denise - I JUST had an allergy test done. My Dr. suggested it because of my chronic sinus infections. Of course it came back that I am allergic to dogs - which i am - but not my Yorkies. Was that the only thing on the list? She could even be allergic to Maddie's shampoo! I know when we got Sammy she made me sneeze like crazy until she had 2 or 3 baths and I got the perfumey shampoo out that her previous owner used on her. If you want to try Buddy Wash I can send you some samples - just PM me!

I knew Denise was suppose to have surgery but I did not know it got cancelled.
Denise and I have a weekend trip planned in May, we were suppose to go in April but with her having to have the surgery, we postponed it.

I'm so sorry everything is come crashing down on you Denise, you are in my thoughts hun. I pray that Lexi is not allergic to Maddie, that would just be aweful!

My daughter is allergic to dog saliva. She is 30 now and has had allergies and asthma all of her life. She takes singulair and is ok here but does not touch the dogs.
