I teach high school and I have actually had some kids with serious hygiene issues even at that age, so it is possible. |
I seriously doubt its a meth lab...I would say she is probably a bed-wetter and doesnt clean it off in the morning. I had a little girl in a kindergarten class that smelled of a hamster cage and I could barely get near her. It was from bed-wetting. |
I hope its not that, she has 4 younger siblings. Ive never seen any indication it would be meth, her Mom seems normal enough and is almost 50. But I guess anything could be possible. She kinda makes me think of pine floor cleaner. |

It is so sad that a child has to live in these conditions. Can you imagine what it will be like as she gets older. Other children may not be a considerate as your daughter. Children can be so cruel at times. I really feel sorry for her. |
aww poor kid probably hasn't been taught good hygiene. If she's spending the night, you might just show her where everything is in case she would like to take a shower before going to bed or before going home? |
Bless her heart.....again, it's not her fault! It breaks my heart for children without parental guidance. It probably would be a true Blessing & maybe something she will take with her forever if...............today, you make a pampering party for your daughter & her to camouflage what you are truly trying to do. Tell your daughter, you want her to take a shower & give her some of your pampering products (perfumed bath gel) lotion, wash her hair, etc. Then for her friend, as well. Maybe then help fix their hair, paint their fingernails, to make them both feel "special". This little girl may never have had this feeling. I think she will take this specialness home with her. ;) It's worth a shot!;) |

That is so sad. :( I definetly agree with everyone else about the spa day. I think she\'d remember that forever...and maybe it would make her want to be clean. |
I feel so sad for her, but my bestfriend had an odor not as strong as this one but my mother was like a mother to her and she just told her to take a bath before going to sleep when she stayed the night. My mother is more direct with my friends than other mothers, but in a nice way.Bless her heart. |
