| Have you been to Melbourne/Victoria Australia I need help/ideas planning a trip to Melbourne & the surrounding area. Have you been there? How many days should I stay - it will be June, so cold over there then. What is a must see? What can be passed up. How do I do the trip on the cheap? - The airline tix is so much, want to save money where I can

I wish it was South Africa! And it almost was! The reason I'm want to go to Australia is because my daughter has been selected to go study at the Univ of Melbourne & assist with a water sustainability project this summer. But when my daughter originally applied for the program it was because she wanted to go to South Africa, but one of the professors learned of my daughter's work with another sustainability project, and insisted he needed her in Australia. (Did I mention she's only a first yr college student? ) Two beautiful places I want to visit. Any info would be helpful, as it seems overwhelming trying to figure out how what to see & do. Where to stay, etc.
