15 yrs ago we had a bull mastiff ate the neighbors chickens chewed sofas floors we put in a 4 feet rockwall with 4feet chainlink she ate through the fence cut a vein vet had to sew her up we gave her up

Not sure about a saint :blush08: but I do LOVE animals and I have a hard time just giving up on someone... If that were the case I would have gotten rid of my 14 year old along time ago lol:D :D jk

If you have not read the book Marley and Me, I suggest you read it. Their dog was exactly the same way.
If I were you I would find a rescue to take her and let them know she needs to be out on a ranch or farm or have some serious training. You do not have to live like that. Good luck in whatever you decide.
I have not read that book but I have heard a lot about it:D I think I may pick it up or I think Lori said she had a copy I could borrow:D

It is becoming very hard to live this way:( It makes me very stressed out wondering how she will get out and will my other dogs be ok:(

I feel the same way about rehoming:thumbup: Thats one of the reasons I have put up with it for so long:( but I am about done:mad: It just kills me that I have failed her:(

Sounds like you give her a lot of exercise with the dog park and your son running with her. But its still not enough for her. She needs to be pushed more to make her work harder. Try getting her a back pack and slowly put more and more weight in it until you get to a point where she comes back in from her run and is tired. Or you can try finding some sort of cart for her to pull, same idea as the back pack. I think the back pack would be the easiest to try first.

If i were in your situation and have been dealing with her for 6 years then i wouldn't be able to give her up at her age. she is probably 7 or 8 years old now and probably doesn't have very many years left. You are all she knows and to rehome her now might be devastating for her.

try the backpack thing, hopefully it will work. just remember to gradually build up the weight so she doesn't hurt herself. good luck
I do have a bag, its like a saddle bag, but for dogs. I use it when I walk her and I fill it with water bottles.

I don't put it on her when she runs with my son because I thought it might hurt her back:confused: What do you think??

if you start out light and build her up it shouldn't hurt her. start her running with it on and nothing in it and then you can add dog food or something that can easily be added to or subtracted until you get the perfect weight for her. a tired pup is a happy pup.
