Anyone use Bare Minerals I am thinking about getting some. Starter kit right now is $60.00. Just wondering how you all like it before I invest $ in ordering. TIA |
I LOVE bare minerals! It is awesome. It feels really light on my skin not heavy like most liquid make-up. It covers everything really well too without making me look like I am wearing a lot of make-up. I would highly recommend it. |
There is a really long thread here somewhere about it. I'll see if I can dig it up...:) OK...found it http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=103625 |
I use it and like it but before ordering you can go to Ulta or J.C. Penney's and have them give you a demo. I got mine from Penney's. That way you aren't out any money and can see how you like it. |
I've used it for a couple of years now, and not nearly as thrilled with it as others seem to be :( . |

Since I have "aged" I don't usually wear make up anymore so Bare Minerals is great for me. It's like wearing nothing at all but makes my skin more even. |
I am addicted to the stuff! I have been using it for at least 5 years. It took a little getting used to at first since I never wore foundation. I have rosecea and it really helps. When I started using it, hubby paid me a compliment w/o knowing I had new makeup on and it really made me feel good. Go online and see if there is a bare minerals store close to u. You can do a trial run with it and get to sample all the products and colors. If you want to save some money, you can get "Sonia Kiosnik" (sp) brushes from target...they are really similar to the bare minerals one. Good luck. |
I would try it first. I have it, but I don't really like it. Personally, I feel like it just sits on top of my skin. Just my opinion. |

what is it that you dont like? maybe you arent using the right moisturizer. It took me about 3 diff attempts to get the moisturizer right before I looooved B. M. |
OK, Guys. I'm thinking about getting some too but just have a question before I do. For those of you who have wrinkles (Come on now, I know I'm not the only one):D how does it compare to liquid foundation. I just don't want to spend a lot of money and there not be any difference. I bought the "natural advantage" cleansers and moisturizers, but I still don't look like Jane Seymour!:D I think I'm going to cancel that. So, how does bare minerals stand up to wrinkles? |
I found the best deal for starter kit on QVC. I think I am ordering. I don't want commit to joining club. |
I just got mine last month and I love it. |

My suggestion is go get the demo makeover first. Either Ulta or Penneys does it. I had mine done at Penney's. I will say that the more weight you gain the less wrinkles you have so I don't really have a lot of wrinkles:D |
Love it! Have been using it for years! |
As mosturizers for fine lines I use the oil cleansing method with olive oil and castor oil. then once out of the shower i dab Caudalie's anti aging lifting serum under my eyes and then my face gets an all over with Philosophy's Hope in a jar. I have tons of lines! This helps. My patients call my skin flawless sometimes ...its the Bare Minerals. |

sent you a pm lol - |
I use it- and I like it just fine! I am not a big make up person- I just don't get up and put make up on if I am just around the house! That is just a cleanser and miosteriser in the AM. But I go use Bare Minerals- It is easy- looks light and natural! Does not have that too much, heavy look- to me any way! |

I just bought the starter kit and a beyond the basics kit. I really like the makeup, but am not sure that I'm crazy about the eye make up just yet... |
I Love it, swirl and tap. Been using it for 3 years, my family says they can see a big difference when I have it on. :ladywinks: |
My Mother used Bare Minerals for years and absolutely loved it!! We actually found a skin care person who sells a line that is the same idea, but she can mix and add color to it, so it'd tailored more to your skin color. Since you only have choices of light, medium, etc... with Bare Minerals. It's so easy to just swirl and tap and apply and its so light on your skin, which makes such a difference in the hot summer! You feel like your skin can breathe! I don't think I would ever go back to liquid makeup! |

I have wrinkles too, but not as many :p I use a makeup sponge to apply the foundation, rather than a brush, which I like better. It make a beautiful matte finish. I use the brush to apply the warmth - which I think is the key to Bare Minerals. When I put on Warmth or any all over glow color, it just makes my skin POP! I do not use the Mineral Veil - but I know lots of people love it. I have a funny story. I have almost completely gray hair, so I'm not sure if the flight attendant thought I was older than I am (56), but once on a flight the attendant leaned over to me and whispered, "You have gorgeous skin". If you could see my skin without Bare Minerals, you would know this is NOT TRUE! My face is very sun damaged. I have huge brown spots covering most of both cheeks. The Bare Minerals completely evens out my skin and the warmth makes it appear to be sun kissed and very pretty. I know that Bare Minerals is not for everyone, but I've been using it for 10 years, and would never ever consider using anything else. We just outfitted my 12 year old granddaughter in Bare Minerals and she looks gorgeous too! |
