| My daughter broke her foot My daughter was at gymnastics lastnight and when I went to pick her up she was sitting out. They bring her out to me to tell me she tripped and twisted her ankle. I bring her home and we ice her foot. Hubby looks at it and says its swollen and starting to bruise so we will have to see in the morning. The poor girl gets up this morning and can not put any weight on it! She crawls into the bathroom to show me her foot. Off to the ER hubby and her go for an xray and wouldn't you know it - broken the 5th metatarsal! They would not cast it because of the swelling so she has to see an Orthropedic on Monday. She looks so clumsy on the crutches!!! The entire time the only thing she is worried about is having to miss a day of school because she has a test today. Now I don't know about all of you but at 8 yrs old, I would of milked that for all its worth and stayed home to rest for a couple of days. Not Lexi, she had my hubby drive her to school so she could continue her perfect attendance and take her SS quiz! to her, she is a real trooper! Just wanted to share my not so great day w/my extended yorkie family!!! Send us good vibes that all goes well at the dr. on Monday!!!
