i only knew my grandma and she died when i was 8.

I didn't know my grandparents on my father's side - they died when I was just born. But I am EXTREMELY close to my mom's parents. My grandfather died when I was 13 and I don't think my family ever really recovered from his loss. He was just such a special man. My grandma (his wife) is one of my BEST friends. She's sassy and fresh and I love it! Jim (my hubby) never knew any of his grandparents because they died before he was born. But he loves me grandma like she's his own and she loves him too. It's great because Jim and I are always taking her to Branes & Noble (she and I are both big time readers) and we always go out for Chinese food. Or sometimes we go over her house and just order in Chinese and hang out and watch TV together. Grandparents are great ... I'm so glad my grandma is still alive.

Everyonen must think I am an ungrateful wench who doesn't respect her elders, but my grandmother, since my parents got divorced, treats me like I am dirt.

and yes, she watches trash television like Maury and Jerry Springer as loud as the TV goes.

My other three grandparents were great. My grandma died two years ago, my grandpa died when I was four (but I remember him) and my other grandpa died when I was 13. They were all great.
