I was watching CNN today and they showed an American solider throwing a puppy off a cliff in Iraqi or somewhere like that. Has anyone else seen this horrific video?? If you have not I do NOT recommend watching it. I am so pissed ! I want to throw him off a cliff. They said he is getting death threats. Good for him-bastard

I would believe the film was doctored before I would believe it is real. My husband is army and we know A LOT of deployed guys. They love having dogs over there... it makes them feel more at home. Unless maybe this guy was trying to get a "nutso" discharge... which could be it.... otherwise...why tape it and who taped it ... they are just as responsible. hmmmmm

I've read this in the paper but I havent watched the video and don't plan to. I can't deal with that stuff.

I'm still waiting to find out if it's real or not. Supposedly the soldier doesn't live too far from me, hopefully this thing with the threats towards him doesn't get too out of hand.

My husband has been stationed in Iraq several times... he said the poor dogs over there are in very bad shape, but that still doesn't dignify what that guy did... what a horrible thing. I feel bad for the dogs over there, poor things.... I also have heard of many soldiers taking in some starving pets over there. It's a very bad situation.:( Dot

Thanks for the warning. I only saw the part where he was holding the poor puppy. :( They said it was too disturbing to show what he did next on the early evening news. Now I understand why.

Sicko!!! His family must be so proud.

It was a US Marine...it was not a doctored video. He was stationed out of kaneohe Bay Hawaii.

Its now on youtube and the dog lovers are passing it around Myspace! I really didn't want to see that! If they have nothing better to do than horrific stuff like that then why in the heck are we over there! Thats just disgusting! I see a dishonorable discharge coming his way!!! SICKO!!:mad:

There was a link on the Youtube video to a website www.puppytoss.com! It only has the video and a picture of the Marine with his full name! Someone should pick him up by the neck and throw him off a cliff!!:mad: :mad: :mad:

I think we all know there are many Marines that are over there doing their jobs.... let's not get off the subject of how horrific the act of this Marine or few Marine's was... it has nothing to do with why are we over there, that becomes a political debate that nobody wants to get into on YT.....;) Dot

:goodpost: I second that! The majority of our military that are over there take their tasks very seriously. Just like any other "company," there are those people who decide to misrepresent their "company". And I'm not saying what the Marine did wasn't an awful thing...but who knows what kind of horrific things he may have had to see or do that day? Trauma can cause people to do very strange things. Again, I'm not excusing his actions, but I'm just suggesting looking at it from another angle.

Yes, I am definetely ot excusing his crime... he did a crime he should be punished!!!!! :thumbdown I just didn't want it to become a military issue rather then an issue of a mean person, because there are many men who serve proudly and with dignity..... (ok, my husband is a soldier) and I am partial to the military.... and my husband LOVES animals, he was also upset over this story!!!!! I just think we should focus on this "man's" actions... not his employment position.

I totally understand ;) My husband was a Marine and was brought back up to active duty at the beginning of the war...and I myself am active duty. :) Wasnt trying to turn it into a debate....thank you for helping me correct myself.
