I am one of those people who can't watch these videos although I really want to know what they are about. I just cannot see the image of animals suffering because it will stick in my brain for days even months and it haunts me. I agree that it should be posted for awareness so that more people will fight for a good cause on behalf of the animals but I also agree a warning sign should be put in those threads for those who cannot take it. I always try to help the poor animals but I can't see images of an animal suffering in any way.

I don't think posting a warning is censoring.

There is a thread posted now that does not have any kind of warning and it contains a video of a puppy getting tossed to his death......Like I already said I don't care if someone wants to post these things, but why can't they be posted in the "News" section???.....Then whoever wants to read this stuff can go there, even if there is a "warning" in the title the title alone can say too much......

As a teacher, I am no longer allowed to direct children to watch the news on TV. The parents say that it is too violent.

Seems all the violent acts are on the front pages, whether it be a horrendous murder, rape, domestic abuse, hate crime, school shooting,
or car crash down to some lesser nonsense that some "celebrity" is doing.

We can discuss the war in general terms leaving out the high body count
and the "true" politics of the situation.
Definitely no personal opinions surrounding the war or even the primary elections.

So my "current events" of the day usually relates to the weather, Ground Hog's Day, Changing clocks,
presidents' birthdays, latest speeding laws, and the BIGGIE??? American Idol.

***and here is the kicker****
These same parents take these same kids to see "R" rated movies
and let them play some horrid video games.

Seems we cannot win.

People will do what they wish.
Just try not to foist these articles on us in a surreptitious manner.

So, ladies, please label your threads and warn us so we know whether or not to read them.

Yes, your post makes sense. But are you SERIOUS???? When I was in school, the news was often part of the "homework". AAARRGGGHHHH, I'm only 47 and my kids are quite enlightened and I feel safe with my future in their hands. But as for some of the rest of the kids? How will they ever be able to make good decisions!!??

I feel for the teachers. Teaching with your hands tied behind your back must be uber-challenging!! Thanks for all you teachers TRY to do!!

Yes...and, it's been that way for so long, please (someone) explain to me how such violence is even news-worthy anymore . Same crimes - just plug in the victim of the day.
