| nick name help needed!!!! apparently, my dh thinks that if we named the baby (if it's a boy) Orlando James that it would mean soooooooooo much to his father. Apparently it's a family name. anyway...I am not totally opposed to the idea...but I would definitely need a nick name for him because I'm not big on the name Orlando and not big on the name James LOL any ideas????

| I would hope for a girl! Heehee. I'm only kidding. I am NOT looking forward to naming my kids when I have them. I know it will stress me out. I work at a school and I have found that all of the "unique" names and the unique spellings people give their kids generally results in confused adults and frustrated kids who are either mad that you can't spell their name (Who guesses that April is spelled Apryl?) or they are constantly correcting you. Plus I know a kid with every name so *nothing* is unique! Ugh I don't envy you!!! I would definitely prefer James Orlando over Orlando James. At least then you could either call him Jamie or Jimmy?

I'm not naming him James first cuz that is my husbands name and his fathers name...I just don't like it. I'm not crazy about Orlando either. Maybe we can find another name and use Orlando as a middle name????

| I agree turn the name around . Both make a list .Each pick the top 5 names and go from there.

| I don't see anything wrong with having Orlando as his middle name. It should still be a special thing!! Whenever I have children, and if I have a boy, I'm already set on his middle name - Melvin It's a family thing.....

| I know what you mean . There are so many names. Just remember stay with correct spelling. I love Irish names . With my second child I made a list from each Letter. A_Z.It was a long list. I told my Husband Pick one. He Pick the first name and I picked the Middle Name. When We got to our third child I said Its my turn .So I named her .And My husband helped with the middle name .
