| Selling on eBay used to be fun and profitable for me. But recently with their new changes and so many people boycotting because of it, its hard to make a decent profit. I listed 6 things last week that would have normally sold. Only two things did (a lot of 14 dog toys and a lot of Bath and Body works stuff). By the time eBay fees were taken out, paypal fees were taken out, and listing expenses were considered I barely made a couple dollars. It would have been more profitable for me to wait and sell the stuff at the garage sale. Right now I'll continue to do some shopping on eBay, but I won't do much more selling.

| I buy ALOT of things from ebay! I've sold a few things but mainly textbooks on half.com. All of my experiences, both buying and selling have been good.

| oh yeah!! I sold Yankees/Red Sox tix on ebay and a couple other things over the years. I mostly buy from them, but I have sold. It was easy and the tix sold fast. I would do it again if I had things to sell!

| I use to sell on eBay a lot (for many years), but the last few years, I haven't done much...and now, their fee's are getting pretty high...so, if you sell smaller items, you have to mark them up to make any profit once they take out all the fees! It is crazy! I do tend to "shop" on eBay....just depends on what I am looking for though!

| I used to love Ebay. Now, the prices people charge for shipping are outrageous. By the time you pay for the auction and then the shipping charges, you could have bought it new.

| I sold on EBay before it was all the rage and did very well. I sold vintage teddy bears and made a lot of money. It was during the Beanie Baby craze. I don't sell any longer because of all the fees, etc. and I rarely buy directly off e-bay any more.

| I started out by selling only on ebay and did very well, then the fees started going up and I left. I do shop for supplies a lot on ebay but sometimes, and it may just be me being very paranoid, but i just get the feeling that there are a lot of scammers on ebay now |

| If the items you are selling are handmade, I recommend a site called Etsy. I love it! It is not an auction site, and it's supposed to be only for handmade things. I have bought a few things from them, and I've been happy. I haven' sold there, only bought. When I looked up the seller info it says 20 cents per listing, the listing lasts three or four months, and when you sell an item, the fee is 3.5%...I think. I do buy from Ebay, but I also look at ioffer quite a bit and have purchased a few things. I think when you post and how you list your items is very important, but again, I am not a seller. Good luck!

Sometimes it helps if you make a few purchases so that you have a feedback rating....alot of people will never actually look to see if it's for selling or buying. Also I've had many auctions which didn't get any activity until the last hours...sometimes the last few minutes. I've been an ebayer since 97...though my buying outweighs my selling.
