| Nasal Douche That makes me feel better and breathe easier when I get all stuffy from the Flu! Also, Vitamin C suppliment and plenty if fluids. Nasal Douche - get saline spray and irrigate the nasal passages. Clears the stuffiness and irrigates that pesky virus outta the nasal area so you get better faster. |

| [QUOTE=odies_mama;1810854]no, i have never had a flu shot because growing up i was always told if u got the shot, then there was a really good chance that u would in fact get the flu! ahaha OMG! I hope that's not true 'cause my DH and I are in the middle of getting our rabies vaccinations after having a bat in the house.

| I don't know if it is coincidence or not, probably, but last night I drank some Bailey's Irish Cream on the rocks. It was so soothing for my raw throat. At 5:30 am, my high fever broke. Dragging fatigue and cough remain but everything else seems to be improving. Still have fever but not the high fever I have had for the last four days. My throat will finally tolerate juice and I have been guzzling, when I have not been sleeping. Thanks all for the info and support. I have never had a flu shot because I can recall only one other time in my life having the flu. This is a wake up call as to how rotten and dangerous it is. I may re think getting a flu shot next year!

| The flu shot is a big guessing game...your chances of not getting it are better IF you get the shot, but, there are so many different flus, that sometimes you do get the flu after the shot, because it only helps on certain flus, and they never know which flu is going to hurt.. now to the op, I'm glad you're finally feeling better, alcohol can do wonders when you're not feeling well...My problem, is I can't drink whiskey, and that is one of them that helps... |

| YT Addict | Jeremy's little brother has somehow gotten the Austallian Flu Type A...how weird lol his started out as a canker sore, then a sore throat, and then full blown FLU! jeremy woke up with the sore throat so he hit the docs that day and got the Tamiflu and so far hes fine! yay! me..i'm staying away.....with my track record, i aint taken no chances lol but BTW, now u have a good reason to drink more (if u do drink, or even start drinking) "oh but honey, it makes my throat feel so much better!" hehe |
