I was 37 weeks & 3 days when I gave birth to her on 02.24.08
5lbs 11oz ~ 18 inches

I know my previous posts were about me feeling crampy lately, I had no Idea what was to come =)

Although I was feeling crampy for the past few weeks, Saturday was the day I just felt 'weird'. Dh and I had just came from this meeting and I was feeling extra crampy but the cramps were really painful, but I didn't think much of it cause I was thinking they were BH's and I had a bad head cold and sore throat so I also just let it go..

I decided to just go ahead and relax for the rest of the day, dh and I was supposed to go to target and some other places to do errands and finaly buy stuff for my labor/hospital bag, but since I wasn't feeling well we decided we'd go Sunday. I set my alarm for us to wakeup @ 9am.. Dh and I took a sleeping pill and went to bed at like 2am.

I was tossing and turning in bed, and usually I'd notice a little bit of liquid come out but that was normal for me, but this time when I rolled over in bed, a lot of liquid came out kind of like a heavy period flow.

So I went to the bathroom and my underwear and pants were soaked. I peed and when I looked into the toilet I saw this white broken up snotty white with pink tinged stuff.. I was in denial that it came out of me and just flushed it down the toilet .

Immediately after I started having these strong stomach pains that started in my lower back and went to my stomach and vajaja/rectum pressure...

I wasn't sure if that was a contraction, so I waited a bit and sure enough they started coming 5 mins apart getting stronger and stronger.. I really didn't want to wake up Dh as we had just taken a sleeping pill and he has the flu and I wasn't sure if it really was my water that broke or if this was just false labor..

I waited tossing and turning in bed and eventually it woke dh up and I told him I think my water broke.. We both were like oh crap cause I had nothing ready as were going to buy everything the next day

We gathered a few things while I was having these contractions, left my DD with his parents and off to the hospital we went.

On the way there in the car my water gushed out and so now I was soaked and the contractions were about 3 mins apart.. We got to the L&D floor and they had to admit me and put me in the computer which didn't make me a happy camper cause I was in sooo much pain at this point.

That took what seemed like 7 mins, I was put in a triage room where the midwife checked me and I was 100% effaced, 6cm dilated and baby was at 0 station. They took blood from me and asked if I wanted an epidural, u bet ur butt I said yes, but they told me they had to do the bloodwork first and run it and it would take about an hour.. I was like omg! But they gave me fentanyl through an IV, 2 minutes after the midwife left the contractions were making me have the urge to push/have a bowel movement..

The nurse quickly checked me, and immediately said the baby's head is right there and im fully dilated and she was yelling for help. She told me not to push as they had to wheel me into the delivery room.

I didn't have time for an epidural and couldn't stop myself from pushing.. I barely had time to put my feet in the stirrups when they said ok push! I pushed sooo hard and so long I could feel my face turning bright red, and right away they said she was crowning and 1 more push and she came out!

They were all so amazed at how fast I pushed her out since it was like giving birth for the 1st time as I had a csection with my 1st DD, ididnt need an episiotomy, but I needed 1 stitch inside for a small tear.

So my dd Jasmyn was born 02.24.08 ~ 6:23AM ~ 5lbs 11oz ~ 18 inches with Tons of hair!!

She's an angel

and Tianna liks her!!

OMG she is just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad it was not a long drawn out labor for you. And I am glad your hubby was able to drive after taking the sleeping pill LOL

She is a living DOLL! I hope to get pg soon and know we can't " special order " what our aby looks likes, but I have decided if she has ark har like that her name will be Layla and if she has blond by chance her name will be Heaven Lee..........lol if it's a boy anything will do

It's time for some girlness here. Anyway, your sweet little Angel is just beautiful!
