| Teacup Kittens! Somebody in another thread posted that their sister had a TEACUP cat! I had no idea this was the new thing. Apparently it's all the rage. Check these out! http://www.boutiquekittens.com/Toy-a...yans.74.0.html http://www.minipurrs.net/ http://www.teapurrty.com/index.htm

| Isn't it discusting? Persians are bred to be a larger cat. They are big boned, broad, stocky cats witha LOT of thick, long fur. You can't take a cat like that and make it tiny...not without breeding poor quality cats. It's just rediculous Byb's are already trying to ruin the yorkie...so they need to LEAVE MY BEAUTIFUL PERSIANS ALONE!! "Teacup Himalayans, Toy Persians, Toy Himalayans, Miniature Persians, and Miniature Himalayans have the same physical and personality characteristics of their larger Persian and Himalayan counterparts. However, rather than the standard Persian and Himalayan size of up to thirteen pounds, miniature Persians and Himalayans can be anywhere from 4 ½ to nine pounds." LOL...Mine are small for their breed...both only 8lbs. Guess they are TEACUPS!

| How much is the adoption fee? Our adoption fee is based upon the breed, size, expression, and color of the cat or kitten. Generally smaller kittens are priced higher. MiniPer ~ MicroMini: $2,800.00 and up MiniPer ~ Teacup: $2,000.00 and up MiniPer ~ Toy: $1,200.00 and up MiniPaw ~ MicroMini: $3,000.00 and up MiniPaw ~ Teacup: $2,500.00 and up MiniMew ~ MicroMini: $2,000.00 and up MiniMew ~ Teacup: $1,600.00 and up MiniMew ~ Toy: $800.00 and up My gosh...my youngest Persian came from an excellent show breeder...she has several grand champions in her pedigree, and her grandmother is the #1 chocolate point in CFA history...she didn't cost me $800

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | They are beautiful but honestly a 9 lb or even a 13 lb cat is not a big deal in an apt so I don't know why they feel the need to breed them down.

They are obviously mixed with another breed as they attempt to downsize them. Frustrating what people will do to make more money.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | This lady that was a friend of a friend at work had an intact female. She never spayed her and she seems to have made friends with another Siamese in the area...of course the good owner that she is she let her out to roam so every heat she is pregnant. I had tried to adopt from a rescue and they gave me such a run around...that I gave up. So my friend told me about this lady and we conversed. I asked how much she wanted as an adoption fee and she said she would like a karmic gift of either cat/dog food, donation to a shelter in her name or maybe some ice cream...lol. SO I got her a pint of Haagen Daz to the tune of $2.50 and it was the trade for April. I did although donate $200 to the humane society because it is what would have been the adoption fees. I didn't want to give her more being as she was being an irresponsible owner. She needed that dog/cat food because she kept letting her animals out to roam. I offered to pay to spay her female but she declined...idiots.

I can't see any cat other than a tiger or a lion being too big for an apt. That is just the biggest crock of crap I have ever heard.

That's awesome. Not that she was irresponsible and wouldn't spay her cat, but that she let you pay her with ice cream I met a vet student last weekend with a beautiful Seal Point Himalayan..she got her from the shelter.
