| I would say, be prepared to ask a lot of people and don't take any offense when they say no. Business are frequently asked and there is only so much any one business can support but the grace with which you take a no can make the difference next time you ask them. Don't be offended or hurt when they say no and just go on to the next one. It isn't always easy but eventually you will reach your goal. Good luck! |

| You gotta be willing to advertise FOR THEM.... decal on your cars etc... Good luck with it... I have a builder whose so does sprint car racing, I am wanting to "sponsor" him.... I am gonna have to set funds aside to do it though. I am only wanting to do it to get my information on his car and of course tighten the builder/realto relationship.

| It sounds like you have it all under control....pamplets, letter, etc. Go EVERYWHERE to ask...paint shops, body shops, call mail order parts places, etc. AND in return, there will need to be decals or something on the cars showing the sponsorship....my dad was a big time dirt track driver for years!

| Wow... I used to be in the whole dirt track racing w/ IMCA cars.. Wow that seems like years ago.. I would take in pics of your car with you.. Don't be afraid to ask for hand outs.. Every little penny is a penny you don't have to pay. There will be many that are not interested and there will be some that are.. Don't be afraid to ask companies that already sponser a car.. Some companies sponser more then one and are happy too also. Don't just talk about your car talk about the racing community in general also.. How it is a family and like all families there are the bickering, loving, and the neutrals... Good luck.. If we were closer to you we'd definately come out to watch.. But seriously hit up everyone.. Resturants, plumbers, electricians, body shops, gas stations, pizza stations, bakeries, banks, salons, spas, they love to get their business out there.. Biggest key is every penny helps big or small.. And every donation gets a placement on your car.. GOOD LUCK |
