| Anyone have expereince with Aspergers? I had my first observation day today and a boy in my Grade 9 art class has Aspergers. My associate does not know much about the disorder nor what to do to help the boy. at first i thought he had severe ADHD... he was constantly playing with things in the classroom and never really did his work all block. my associate says he is very sensitive and gets very upset when other students make fun of him (understandable) i know that those who have Aspergers need structure but that is very difficult in an art room. I suppose i'm just looking for ways to keep him on task and not have him get overwhelmed. any help is great.. i know i can go read website after website but i'd prefer some personal knowledge if anyone has any. |
