I wouldn't miss her recital. Yeah, she may have more recitals but one day she will be all grown up and I think I would kick myself in the butt for missing out. Also, I wouldn't trust my hubby to get my daughter ready for a recital. He sure would try but you know how guys get. I'm sure there will be another meet-up. I wish you the best with your decision. :)

I would never miss my babies "first" anything... you should go to the recital, IMHO..... She may not remember, but there will always be photos and momento's that you will have missed....

I know you are in a tough spot but I would go to see my daughters recital. You will never forgive yourself, and she might not remember in the years to come but she will be sad the day of the recital when her mommy isn't there. Im sure everyone on YT will understand:)

I would of loved to go to the meetup but my daughter is having her first comp (she is on the gymnastics team) and there is no way I will miss that after all the hours of practice and dedication she has put into it!

I'm going to the recital. Its what i want to do and know I'd never forgive myself for not going. Family comes FIRST. My kids are my world.:)

aww that's a tough spot, but I would go to your baby's first recital. I danced for years and the little ones in their first recitals were always so precious - they watch each other and copy the other's movements and always dance to a song like "you are my sunshine" - too sweet! I would hate to miss that

Good decision Denise.. although we will really miss you.. We'll all have other chances to meetup.. Lexi only gets one first recital

I cannot give you advise as I think you already know deep down what you feel is the right thing . . . .she only gets to be 3 once and the first recital will always stick to her mind. . . so, although I will miss you AGAIN, I am sure this will turn out into a yearly event for YT members (as I cannot see it being other than a huge success) . . .:) and so lots of opportunities for you to come :thumbup:

Darn it, I was soo excited give Maddie a really hard squeeze :rolleyes:

As disapointed as I am, I understand where you are coming from. I'm a mother as well and my kids are my everything.

I don't know what I'm going to do now, cause I can't go by myself (drive) I would be a mess and would get lost lol and I can't fly, I'm not paying $160 to bring 1 baby on plane, that is nuts! So now I don't know if I will be going, it just depends on if I can find a driving buddy.

I think Jodie was trying to get people in Michigan and Indiana together...ck with her they are driving and renting a van. How were you going before I was going? I'm extremely sorry.

I was going to fly, but when i found out that they were going to charge me $80 one way, then I was like NO WAY! Then you said something about driving and that all sounded good lol

I'm sure i will be able to find someone, if not, then hubby will just have to go lol
