She was especially special as she was my very 1st dog ever (My husband had bought her for me back when we first met)...making that decision was mind numbing especially since it was just 2 months after losing him - but I know I did the right thing for her. I loved her too much to let her suffer.

OH MY GOSH!! Villette...I am soooooo sorry!

She missed her daddy so much....she is know by his side forever! Rest easy knowing she is pain free and happy once again...you did the RIGHT thing!!

Whew...I am crying now..........RIP you sweet girl you!!!

Thanks Jen....Linda (fufu) is going to put her on her Rainbow Bridge site

and the apartment is already looking like a home - I worked pretty hard on it since Wednesday and this weekend am taking it easy - it was a hard road getting here and I'm not in any hurry to unpack every little box. I did get my art up and now am kicking myself for some of the stuff I had to sell - I wish I still had it - some of it would have looked so nice in this apartment

the really good thing is there's 9" thick walls - I havent heard ONE neighbor yet

(cept for the outside people) Good thing too - the girls feel they have to 'say' something over every little noise but are getting better each day

the 1st night was hilarious - I never saw so many popping & turning heads

poor babies ...we slept on the floor together and they were like little Jack in the Boxes with each sound.

They'll get used to it! I'm glad that you're getting settled and unpacked. Soon it will feel more and more like home!

Hi V, I've been thinking of your and your big move. Glad to hear that it's finally out of the way and you can try to relax a little. My heart did a little drop when I read about Tessa. My grandpa had a little poodle who was so attached to him that when he passed away, the poodle did too soon after. I'm so sorry that you had to make the decision you did but I know personally how very hard that was. It's so reassuring though to know that she is with Leonard, isn't it? That picture in my mind would make me feel so much better.

Look forward to seeing you again sometime soon!

I was shocked to read about Tessa.. Poor lil' girl. But Like someone else wrote they are together again. Laughing and playing with no more pain.

Villette...you've had a really difficult year and I know this was a really hard move for you and the girls. It's so hard when life takes us in a different direction than we wanted. I'm very proud of you for making the best of things. You are alot stronger than you even realize. I know you're apartment feels like a million miles away from home, but someday you'll be able to feel at home here too. Changes are hard but I pray that sometime soon you'll feel at peace. I'm always here if you need me.

Thanks - I don't feel upbeat at all & it sure is scary - lonely too - it's so weird walking into the apt - I feel like I'm in someone elses place and havent really adjusted to the fact that this is now my new home -

Today will be the first day the girls are alone in the new apt. Then I have to find a vet asap - we need FLEA Meds asap with all the cats around.

V Im glad to hear you and girls are all nicely settled into the new place! What a relief you must feel to have that behind you now! Now its ONWARD AND UPWARD!! (my personal motto I developed when my life crumbled a few years ago!) Im sorry to hear about Tessa also. If you want to talk anytime I can relate to you a bit. I lost my pup in the middle of my breakup from my ex-fiance of 10 years... it was the last 'blow' my heart could take at the time. Anyways, its amazing how things manage to somehow come together and work out in ways that different but mostly better than we originally pictured or imagined!
