I am so sorry to hear of the tough start little Aaden is having and for the heart-ache all of you are going through for him. Then to make matters worse there was the mess up the hosiptal made.
I hope matters continue to improve for Aaden and that he makes a complete recovery soon so that you can relax and truely enjoy your 1st grand-child. I will add Aaden & your family to my prayers

Sending prayers for your beautiful little grandson and his family. When my dtr was born premie and in the Neonatal critical/intensive care unit, her Dr. called us in when it became apparant she might not make it and told us that babies are truely miracles. They can survive things that adults never would because they don't know how to give up - they only know the will to live. God will be watching over Aaden now that he will be receiving the treatment and care he needs. Prayers for a quick recovery and a wonderful homecoming, bless his tiny, little heart.

today monday Aaden is getting better his jaundice is getting better and the antibiotics are kicking the strept and memingitis out of him. he is going for the first hearing test today and neuro tests will be later this week. 8 more days and he can go home if all goes well. poor baby only got to see his home for a few hours before he was back in a hospital again.

the hearing test came bk inconclusive so he will have it cked in 6 months and again at 1 year
i guess not only can the meningitis make him deaf so can the meds he has to take.

Aaden is finally doing better and has gained a couple of ounces. i think he might be able to go home next tues or wed. i sure would hate to have their hospital bill. 15 days in the hospital yikes! the dr said we wont really know if he is deaf until he is closer to 1 year, but really if he is, we are still greatful, it could have been sooo much worse. thank you everyone for your prayers

well tomorow 2-12-08 after 1:00 pm the baby gets to go home again.(hopefully for more then 12 hours this time lol) he is doing fine as far as the meningitis goes but now his liver enzymes are elavated and they are trying to figure that out. it could be because he was sick or the antibiotics could have damaged his liver. he will go to the specialist again 2 weeks after he gets home for more tests and the 2 wks after that. they want to see if it will correct its self with in a month if not then they will look into it further. they said he may not be processing protien well.
