That's great news. Sometimes you have to really put your foot down and demand answers. There are just so many nurses and doctors that sometimes there's no one actually paying attention. Happened with me when I had lung surgery..... The drs. kept saying they would wait and see if the chest tube would fix my collapsed lung but no one had paid attention to how long I had actually been there. By the time the surgeon found out, I had been there TWO WEEKS. He said I should have had surgery by the end of the first week. And then after the surgery, I had a reaction to the pain medicine (IV) and the nurse wouldn't listen to my mom regarding the searing heat pain that I was feeling all over. They just assumed it was the surgery pain and I was being a weanie about it. They finally talked to the dr. and changed it. Too many chiefs...... Hope this turn for the better is a sign of him healing completely! |
Almost there... NO FEVER todayyyyy, yyayyyy!!!! It was a very good day. Tomorrow Saturday, a tech will draw blood from Andrew, if the blood work looks good they will give us a release date. It may be Sunday or Tuesday at the latest, I am praying and have all my fingers crossed for Sunday. Yipppeee, :D . Today, I stopped by his school, his teacher had the kids make get well cards for him, some were so funny, with an actual drawing of an appendice looking very sad to be out of Andrews body, creative, it cheered up Andrew a lot. Thanks for the prayers, Andrew is so touched and amazed at the love, concern, care of the folks on yorkie talk. He is very grateful. |
Oh, so much good news!! So sorry to hear that so much of his pain was caused by a mistake. Glad the food has helped change his course. Praying it's Sunday for the release. Even the best of hospital extras, can't compare with home :) Praise the Lord for all the good news. Continuing to pray for good blood work!! |
That's wonderful news. And as awful as the mistake was, I'm glad it doesn't seem to be eating away at you. I'm glad you're focusing on Andrew's recovery instead. Big hugs! |
Keep up the good work Andrew........glad you're feeling better.....I'm sure everyone is getting ready to hang the WELCOME HOME sign up for you..... |
I am praying |

Almost Home!! No fever todayyy either!! yaayyyy!! my husband stayed the night with Andrew, so he was able to talk to the surgeon early this morning, yet over the phone he told me, there was nothing new. I had to hurry to the hospital so that he could go to work. I get to the hospital and my hubby meets me outside and tells me Andrew is looking at the trains, I'll show you all some pictures of this display tomorrow or as soon as I can. So I go through the double doors looking for my child, but I'm looking for the pole that we usually drag with us, I see a boy, that is Andrew but no pole!, it hits me! they've disconnected the iv lines!! he can move about without the pole or iv's!! YIPPPEEE! I hugged him and let out a yiiipeeee!!, nearly skipped all the way back to his room!! he tells me, I told dad not to tell you :D, ooh, and I'm getting out tomorrow!! More jumping for joy!! Yippeeee!!! Can't wait to get up and go pick up my little guy!! I can't wait for him to get on yorkie talk and see how many wonderful people were praying for him!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! |
Praise the Lord!! No IVs & Homeward Bound!!! May Andrew get all his strength back and just enjoy being home with all of you -- bet he'll get some special yorkie kisses |
glad to hear Andrew is home. |
Home Sweet Home 1 Attachment(s) Yyyaayyy, Andrew was dismissed from the hospital today!!! Yiipeee!! Home Sweet Home!! Our yorkies were sooo happy to see Andrew, he sat on the floor and let the pups lay some kissies on him. HE ate some lunch and fell asleep. I wanted to get on the internet to share the news and photos but the power went out and the internet remained down even after the power came back. After Andrew woke up we ate dinner and sat on the couch like veggies with the pups, oooh, it felt sooooo good, we missed the pups and home soooo very much. Thanks for your prayers and good wishes throughout my time of anxiety and Andrews Recovery. This is Andrew on the way out, very happy to be going home! He is standing in front of a huuuge display of a city, it was so neat, it had a working carnival, trains, playground with sounds of children playing, spiderman climbing a tower, superman flying from one side to the other, working circus, construction site, skiers on a mountain, dinasour canyon. It was amazingly cool. The other pics are loading I'll send them in a bit. |
