| Proposal at US Figure Skating Championships Did you just see the Marriage proposal made after one of the pairs finished their numer at the US Figure Skating Championships? John just asked Greta to marry him & she said Yes -- don't think that's been done before

| Didn't see that. Kind of reminds me of Ian Johnson proposing to his girlfriend after he scored one of the greatest touchdowns in College Bowl Upset history at the Fiesta Bowl last year. |

| I just find proposing at sporting events very un-original, or proposing on a talk show is even tackier.

| I am a huge figure skating fan. This is the first time I saw a proposal on the ice. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last time they are skating at Nationals and he wanted to do something very special.

| When a guy propses at a sporting event its more of a memory for him rather than for the girl.

| I think not in both these situations. In the Skaters, they both are Skaters, and in the Football player, they both represent there Schools in sports. I see nothing wrong with these situations. |

| I am laughing right now...you would be surprised how you look at things as you get older. I used to have very traditional ideas regarding weddings, but that has changed. My oldest son has been engaged for what seems like forever. I LOVE her! That said, they are talking about a wedding at a Texas Ranger game. That's baseball for anyone who doesn't know. LOL! AND...it was HER idea! I was surprised at first (I didn't even know that was possible), but I'm fine now. Whatever makes them happy.

| I'll have to see if I can find a clip of it. Greta & John had just finished their program, and she did look really surprised & almost like she didn't understand what he was doing and he got down on one knee. Nobody could hear it, just see it & they kissed.

It all seems really cheesy.. but then again I don't like sports and you couldn't pay me to go to a sporting event.

| Well, I know some are funny. But this one was sweet. But I had her name wrong - it's not Greta - it's Rena Here's a link to a photo http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22857897...stry/22857604/ John Baldwin, right, proposes to his dance partner Rena Inoue after they had finished their dance in the pairs free skating segment at the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Paul, Minn., Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008.(AP Photo/Nati Harnik)
