BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Natural Hair care Remidies? Anyone use any homemade hair remedies? With this cold weather, my poor hair is taking a beating. I remember my mom always telling me that a raw egg is suppose to be good for your hair. Anyone have any good natural hair conditioning hair tips? |

| I have IBS so I could not eat fruits or vegetables except potatoes and carrots. My hair was falling out like crazy and clogging up the vacuum cleaner. I found out I could tolerate a glass of apple juice a day. No more hair loss. An apple a day thing. I also only wash my hair every 5 days because it is so dry I don't have to worry about it getting greesy. Not natural but Pantene Pro V Restoratives is a good shampoo promising 85 % less breakage and hair fall.

| Olive oil can be a wonderful conditioner for dry hair. Warm up half a cup, or more if your hair is very long. Massage it through the hair, especially the ends and middle bits - these are always drier than the hair near your scalp. Wrap your hair in plastic, and then in a warm towel, and leave for 30 minutes. This enables to oil to penetrate the hair shaft. (Read a good book while you are waiting, have a cup of tea, watch television - you are getting back in the shower afterwards so don't try to do too much). Wash out carefully, using a gentle shampoo suited for dry hair |

| In a blender, combine 1 ounce olive oil, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar. Use as regular shampoo. This is great to use.....

About the raw egg thing though.... GREAT for a face mask! Unclogs pores beautifully! I did it last night... whip it til its stiff foam and slather it on and let it dry... it gets tight on your face and then when its dry just wash it off with water... its amazing!!!

| mayo works tooo if you can stand the smell. lol sallys has an ion little pack of this special condition you leave on for 10 minutes with a bag on your head...it works wonders. (its not a home made treatment, but its like 1.00) lauryn uses a straight iron everyday, so i do it to her about once a month. Last edited by DENISE517; 01-25-2008 at 09:29 AM. |

| Here's what I do -- mix mayo and 1 or 2 eggs (depending on how long your hair is) and leave it on for 30 minutes or longer. It's amazing. I also wash my hair with beer once a month. It's awesome, it give my hair such a nice shine.

| If you have a spring close by....spring water is wonderful! We use to take empty jugs and fell them up with spring water from a nearby spring and pour it over our hair...boy, that left our hair super soft and wonderful for days!
