I've been to the Melting Pot once and I loved it. I really want to go back but I can't spend $140 for the Valentine's Dinner. I might go so other day, maybe for our anniversary on Feb 26th, the regular dinner for 2 is about $50-70 and includes salad, cheese fondue, and entree.

We are going to celebrate the day before by going to see the Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns. It will be our first time going to a Basketball game.

Then on actual Valentine's, I try to go all out and set the table nice with roses and candles for the whole family to have dinner. I think it's important to include the kids, hopefully they will pass this tradition down to thier families. I get them a small gift and then get a huge dessert treat too!

That sounds like such a great idea (including them). Gives me some ideas

Well, my DH says that Valentine's Day is a women's holiday...that he would rather give us each (daughter and I) flowers...........anyway, we normally go out to get and get take out...and just enjoy time together (since he works so much). I haven't really thought about it this year....boy, it is coming up fast!!!!

I'm getting mine the same thing I get him every year...zilch! Another way for Hallmark to make money..

me and my fiance dont celebrate valintines day either. i dont see anything special about getting flowers on the day that society tells him he is supposed to get them for me! IMO. BUT i am thinking about geting the puppy a little stuffed toy as a date. lol.

I am really excited! DH and I always seem to make big Vday plans that fall apart at the last second (missing reservations, late at work, ect ect) so I'm hoping this year is better
