I agree completely, the older children are being robbed of their teenage years and the younger ones are being robbed of a relationship with their parents, its really sad to me. Theres no way those children get the individual attention they deserve.

There is nothing to bash..you feel the way you do. It's not like your out picketing her house.

For real! If you actually watch the show, the children don't even act like "normal" kids! And having them all dress how they do robs them of their individuality. JMO I do have to hand it to her though for being able to raise such calm, caring, non-crazy children! :p

You come to my house my kids do their chores but they have their own things they like to do. And there are kids noises...kids playing, kids messes. Definitely wouldn't want such automated and well behaved kids (JMO)

Yes. Yes. Yes. This is so true. Helping out is fine. Reading Scripture is an absolute must with many families. But come on - it has crossed over into something else. Let the kids decide something on their own. Even being wrong. Or fighting. Or dealing with the world. Other kids whose parents are totally different. Something. These kids are getting hosed. There is a big world out there and mommy and daddy won't let them be a part of it without taking six siblings with so mommy and daddy can have time to make more.
How much of the crap is edited out? Just the nicey, sweet puppy butterfly stuff stays in. NOT NORMAL. NOT NORMAL. NOT NORMAL.

I was reading the Jeub's website and under th FAQ, that question was asked. They said that they put a lot of emphasis on sibling relationships and every older child has a younger one as a buddy. The father will take one kid a week to work for a day and if the mom has grocery shopping to do, she'll take a couple with her. But they put more emphasis on the sibling relationships than on the parent/child relationship and that's just so sad.

It goes back to children raising children. It's a very sad situation to me. You as a parent are supposed to teach all the lessons and not have their sibling teach it to you because you have so many children you can't give them individual attention.

I am sorry but from the living the Jeubs make I can't see how they can manage financially. Yes they have no real debt to speak of but prices of everything keeps going up. Shoot three children plus my nephew visiting on the weekend can clean out the fridge and pantry...can you imagine what it cost to feed them.

She states they only spend $600 a MONTH on groceries and they have three private businesses that gets them about $40,000 annually to live off of..

I dont get why you say it is sad. I have friends that dont have parents and all they have is there siblings. I to do not have parents and all I have is my brother. I only wish I had a better relationship with him. I do have a friend that has no family. Most people move far away from there parents as soon as they get a chance. Those kids never seem sad at all. They dont look deprived of anything. Given the choice I would have loved to have been one of there kids. They show there kids it isnt all about you. If you watch the show and look at there site you will see that they expose there kids to many different things, people ,places, religion, all kinds of things. They are not as sheltered as you may think.

You may not have parents now but you had them when you were younger....I think it's essential to have a strong adult person in your life as a child. It may not be your parents, it could be aunts, uncles or step or foster parents. I know that my children can help each other out but I don't feel that they are equipped to raise their siblings like that. Strong adults are necessary for those formative years.
