Ohhh, I am so excited for you sweetheart!!!! I just read this thread and baby ALex caught my eye, as my third childs name is ALex, although he is 22 now, lol...it seems as it was only a few years ago that I had him...Do rest all you can before the real stuff starts and ask your MW to check your cervix to see if your thinning out and dilating any.... Of my 17 years of nursing, Labor and Del. was longest and favorite area to work...I miss it so.....please keep us updated and you will be in mythoughts and prayers!!!!

I don't want one either, but my GP told me that she is the only MW that they have available for this clinic(@ the GP practice) and it will take a while for them to transfer me to one in town, so thinking I only had a couple more months to go i thought I would leave it. Now I wish I would have told them that I want to change her.It seems that she's not the only stupid one.

Thank you Stephanie. I thought Alex would be a really cute name for a baby boy. If I would have had a girl I would have called her Alexandra.LOL
I am trying to rest but I can't sleep very well through the night and now for 3 days I can't even sleep through the day. Baby Alex is staying in very uncomfortable positions...LOL

Hi Patti, thanks for checking up on me...I have been to see my MW today and she said that the baby is properly engaged(as if I didnt knew that already) but she also said that unfortunatealy she can't give me an examination to see if I'm thinning out and dilating any because she is not allowed, which is a bummer. She said that if I would like to find out I would have to go to the hospital and they will do it if I have contractions.
But she also said that she thinks that I am in labour and the baby should come in the next couple of days.BUT I AM STILL WAITING... Eating loads of spicy food as well. LOL

Nope, I never had an internal until I went to the hospital in labor.

Little Missy is great, sleeping at the minute in her bouncer and refusing to lay upright and insisting on snuggling into the side of it. She's waking up though now I've just typed that! lol

my dr. has even told me that he will induce me early....when he knows the baby is ready and i am ready
he induced me 5 days early with my daughter.

Waaa, bless you...your being so very patient, lol, I was standing on my ear with my first child...but I do remember it seems for 3-4 days I contracted and contracted, kept thinking "I'm in labor"..on the fourth day I woke up and it felt totally different and then I knew that day was the day...don't know how to explain the difference..it was just much more intense...you hang in there sweetheart..it'll be here before you know it...take lots of warm warm baths to keep you relaxed..you know one rule we used at the hosp. when girls would come in contracting to determine if it was "false or not"...we had them walk..if it was real labor, the contractions would intensify, if it wasn't the real thing they would either quit or stay with the slight irregular belly tightening......Thanks for keeping the updates!!! I'll be checking on you...Are you having any "bloody show"????
