Am I going into labour?

I had terrible back labor.....get on your hands and knees and rock back ad forth...most back labor is because babys head is turned the wrong way and by rocking back and forth it sometimes turns the baby into the right position...once the nurses had me do that the pain went away.....I wish they had told me to do this 12 hours befor....

Thanks everyone, still waiting for the baby to come...same symptomes as before and the contractions not getting closer. Like this I think I'll be in labour 3 weeks. Oh God, waiting is killing me..Thanks to everyone that checks up on me. I really appreciate it.

wishing you lots of luck and hoping for a safe baby if you deliver soon time goes fast, even though it does feel like eternity.. i have 8 weeks to go and i'm dreading it at the same time can't wait for it to come lol

Hope things go okay for you but sounds like you are ready. Give yourself plenty of time to get there if they are calling for floods better there than not.

I had all back labor - none of the traditional contractions all the books talk about & what they taught at childbirth classes - so I didn't realize I was in labor. It was horribly painful -- I've only had one child, but the delivery nurse told me if you have back labor with one that is usually how you deliver all your babies.

What they did for me was have me sit on a shower chair and let the warm water hit my back - that did help. Warm water can be soothing.

Have you talked with your mom about what her labors were like? I know a lot of people say their labors mimic what their mom went through.

Yeah...my mom's labour was 14 hours which doesn't make me feel much better.Do I sound really silly to feel scared? I mean I know that milions of women have given birth before me and were fine, is just I am really worried but excited in the same time if that makes any scence.

Awww thank you Jodie, I have really bad back aches and also period like pains but still no baby yet. And I am starting to be really scared and excited. I don't know if this will take a long time or if I can give birth quite soon(which is what I want)

Totally normal!! i'm feeling that same way.. it's scary but i'm sure it'll all be fine! how are you feeling now?

Still have the pains but they aren't growing any closer together which really irritates me. I am really scared that I will go into proper labour tomorrow when my hubby is at the office.
