oh yikes, hopefully that's not the case.. but! if he happens to be at the office, hopefully he can get home/to the hospital to be with you right away.. that is also one of my peeves/fears as well..

Well, I am hoping he can get home, not at the hospital, beacuse I don't have anyone ealse who can take me to the hospital unless I call the ambulance. But it will take him 20 min to come home and then it will take us another 40 minutes to get to the hospital. This is such HARD WORK...LOL

Oh well in that case, hope he'll get home quickly if you do end up going into labor! are you going all natural/no epi or you plan to have meds? i'm really nervous lol..

I plan to have everything they give me...LOL Actually I am planning on the epidural(altho' I always said I'll never have one) and I have my own tense machine as well.I am really sorry if I am making you more nervous, who knows you might give birth with not much pain.Fingers crossed for both of us.

Maria i've been thinking about you and Baby Alex all day! I hope your back pains are getting a little better, if not, hope your having Baby Alex soon so we can seeeeee! :) love newborns!

Good luck with your labour and delivery!! My first was 19 1/2 hours long, my second 8 hours and my third was 2 hours!! No epidural or pain meds here...eeek...but you seem to forget the pain when that little bundle is in your arms!!

Hi Christine, it seems like it was most probably fake labour as I didn't had any more period like pains, but I do still have the backache.I wish baby Alex would hurry up cause mommy and daddy want to meet him and share pictures with everyone.
I will let you all know what's happening I promise. If I do go into labour this is the first place I'd come to before going to the hospital so you can all say a litte prayer. I have never thought that when the big day will come so near I will be scared out of my brains...But here I am.

Have you notified your doctor about the bloody show and the pains? They might want you to come in and get checked! Better to be on the safe side.

Well, I called my MW and she said not to worry as the cervix is just ripening...(whatever that means). But I have never liked my MW anyway, she's an idiot.

It sounds like you're ready to get down to business. If you MW doesn't think you are ready to deliver, then someone should be giving you something to stop the labor, because that's what you're describing. Did you say if your water broke? If so, your husband better plan to stay home from work.

My watter hasn't broke yet but I am hoping very soon. My hubby is already at work but he does have his phone handy just in case.

Maria please dont worry .This is your first it may be over 8 hours of labor. So your Husband will have time to come home and take you to the Hospital . With my second we went early and had dinner near the hospital and went and walked the hallways at the hospital.
If your water hasnt broke after 6cm. Have them break your water early.Praying for a short and safe delivery of Baby Alex. Good Luck

Try eating some spicy foods......When I asked my doctor what to do...he gave me these suggestions.....1. spicy foods
2. bike ride
3. laxative....

I did all three and went into labor that night....not sure If I would do the laxative again though....I think it put me into early labor therefor I had 24 hours of labor.....Good luck Oh I also took a 5 mile walk that day...not sure if any of these helped but I did go into labor that night.....
