Am I going into labour? Seeing that this is my first baby I don't know much about going into labour soooo I was thinking that you might help telling me if all these are signs that I might give birth this weekend. I've had a bloody show 3 days ago, last night from 11:30 till today in the morning I had period pains(quite bad ones) and diarheea(I KNOW YUCK:eek: ) and today in the morning I started having really bad back aches. Now, the worring part is that they have announced floods around here annd I am a bit scared that if I do go into labour I won't be able to reach the hospital which is like 40 minutes from my house. What do I do???? Thanks everyone and sorry to keep on going on about this labour thing but THIS WILL BE MY FIRST BABY.LOL I hope you understand.:D Maria |
I would call the hospital and ask them, has the baby dropped any? Have you done anything strenuous lately? |

How often are you having the period cramps? It sounds like contractions |
Period-type cramps and a back ache can definitely be contractions. Are they constant, do they come and go and at what intervals. Definitely call the hospital. And, wishing you a speedy delivery!!!!! |
When is your due date hun, sounds like you might be ready, I had cramps for the first day * then went into labor:) praying for a safe delivery:) congrats:) |

oh my...I hope everything goes GREAT for you and the baby. Please keep us posted. If you are in labor, and there are floods and you are afraid to drive, call an ambulance. My younger brother was born in an ambulance because of bad weather conditions, so I think that is the best way to go. This way, if you do get stuck somewhere, at least you have parmedics and all their "supplies" to help you along. better safe than sorry!!!!!!!!!!! |
Sounds like you are ready. I had the bloody show on A sunday and had my dtr on Tuesday. My water broke and then the contractions started up very slow at first, but my dr wanted me in the hospital since the water broke and I wasn't due for 5 weeks. I would be prepared to go soon |
Ohhhh I hope she went to the hospital! Keep us posted! Wishing you good luck hun! |
I had contractions on and off for almost 3 weeks before I had my little boy... but I would call the dr. anyway and let them know what is going on. And don't think because they aren't at "regular" intervals that you aren't in labor.. mine were 6 min. apart, then 3, then 7, etc. so the doc was like .. "probably braxton hicks contractions/false labor" I had my baby 3 hr. later. good luck, I'll keep you in my prayers! Keep us updated :) |
Wow so sorry I can't help, I never been pregnant, but I"m sending prayers to you that everything go well:hands: |
sounds like you are getting close ,please keep us posted. |
Checking in for a update;) so exciting, new baby... |
Oh well...I don't know if it was false labour or not but for about two hours I didn't had any more contractions. So, it might not be the day today. I was sure hoping it will. The floods are not so bad either yet so hopefully it won't get too bad in the next couple of hours JUST IN CASE. I still have the bad back ache tho'... |

When I was due with my first daughter I'd call my Mom everytime I had a pain. Finally she said, Trust me, you'll Know when you're in labor!" As usual, she was right, I KNEW!! |

But I was thinking as well that '' I should KNOW when I am in labour'' |
Good luck sweetie and a safe delivery. My daughter only had back pains. Sounds like you are getting really close. Prayers coming your way. |
