| ![]() Okay I saw an episode of 2 Dudes Catering on the Food Network and they were making a Mac and Cheese that looked really good, so I went online and printed it for future cooking....here is that recipe. 1 pound elbow macaroni 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 pound sharp cheddar cheese salt and freshly ground black pepper 1 1/2 cups milk 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add salt and macaroni and cook for 4-5 minutes (until macaroni is half cooked). Butter a 3-quart baking dish, add 1/3 of the cooked macaroni and then layer with cheese, salt and pepper. Repeat this until the elbows have all been used. Pour the milk and heavy cream over the macaroni in the 3 quart dish. Cover with tinfoil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for additional 10 minutes or until the macaroni is brown and bubbling on top. I have not had the opportunity to make this version, but it really look delicious when they were making it on the TV show....

| ![]() Four Cheese Macaroni INGREDIENTS * 1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni (I use jumbo) * 8 tablespoons butter * 1 cup shredded Muenster cheese * 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese * 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese * 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese * 1 lg can evaporated milk (you may need a little more) * 1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper * 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg DIRECTIONS 1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain well and return to cooking pot. 2. melt 8 tablespoons butter; stir into the macaroni. 3. In a large bowl, combine the Muenster cheese, mild and sharp Cheddar cheeses, and Monterey Jack cheese; mix well. 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 5. In a sauce pan heat the half and half and cheddar soup mixture; add 1/2 of cheese mixture and cook just until melted in the sauce and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix sauce into the cooked macaroni (mixture should be soupy so add more milk, if needed) and transfer to a lightly greased deep 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and 6. Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes or until hot and bubbling around the edges; serve. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is by far the best mac and cheese I have ever made. It is very elegant.

| ![]() This is one of the recipes served in her Savannah restaurant, simple but very good The Lady's Cheesy Mac Recipe courtesy Paula Deen 4 cups cooked elbow macaroni, drained 2 cups grated cheddar cheese 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup sour cream 4 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Once you have the macaroni cooked and drained, place in a large bowl and while still hot and add the cheddar. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and add to the macaroni mixture. Pour macaroni mixture into a casserole dish and bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Top with additional cheese if desired. |
