| ![]() Where at in California are you? There are some adult schools that offer the spanish classes and free too. I think its great because its extremely bias to teach free english to spanish speakers only yet we have to pay to learn their language. I know little spanish as I 've lived around it all my life. Its not of preference and i have no real intentions of completely learning their language. But my oldest son is learning it and I'll be damned if he says something to me in spanish and i'm stooped because I can't figure out what he is saying. I understand more then I speak. No offence to spanish speakers here. I was watched and sitted by a spanish speaking family that knew little english and relied on their children to translate. Great thing is is that we are all still close 20 years later. |

| ![]() i went to vieques puerto rico this past summer and vowed to learn conversational spanish..i am considering ordering "behind the wheel spanish"..its a cd you listen to while you drive and you say the phrases back.. it is fairly inexpensive too at less than $50 i dont care if i spell everything correctly i just want to be able to speak it - everyone in Puerto Rico speaks eng/spanish fluently and i was jealous and wished i knew spanish and i made a promise to a local woman to try to learn a bit if i ever came back
