My husband is going to IRAQ for 15 months
 
Hello, I feel so sad, I never imagined this moment would come,.but it's here:( My husband is preparing to go to Iraq in April:( for 15 months, I dont know how to take it:( I can feel my body going into depression already even though he still has a couple of months here with us. He is the love of my life, we just had our 13 year anniversary, but we've been together for 16 years, High School sweethearts;) :rolleyes: , we met when I was 15 and he was 17:rolleyes: ..............and we married when I was 18, he was 21. We have a 12, 10 and 7 year old, my daughter cries everyday, she is my 10 year old.

I know what a deployment feels like, because this is not the first time he's been gone, he has had 2 tours to Korea,. Bosnia and countless field problems which has kept him away from home, but IRAQ is something else........Please keep my family and my husband most of all in your prayers:( :(

Hey I'm with you girl...I've been with my bf for three years..we're HS sweethearts too..and plan on getting married. I feel your pain. He joined the Marines and is leaving for boot camp in June..gone for three months..and in 2009 he's eligible to be deployed...sucks....but we have to be strong for them, because they are for us.:p

Yes, we have to be strong, but deep down inside I am soooooooo scared:( ..............When you marry a man in the military, you marry the military too.

I will be strong for him, and never show my fears, but to you my YT friends I show my true feelings:( :( ,..............I can't tell him this:(

Mickie, I am so sorry for you. While I am so proud of him and what he does to serve the rest of us, I can't imagine the toll it takes on your family.

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I will pray for things to turn so that he does not have to be gone 15 months. But if that is truly his duty, then may he be safe and healthy and the time fly by.

Mickie ~ you, your hubby and your family will always be in my prayers and thoughts. Please let your husband know how proud and thankful we are of him. Give him a big hug and remember that you need to be strong for all your skin babies. You can come to us here on YT anytime you need us...we will be here for you. :animal-pa

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My husband is working in Iraq- has been since May of 2007. It is really hard and very scary. Any time you want to talk, please do not hesitate to e-mail me and the yorkies

Thank You ladies, I've always felt very blessed that my husband has'nt been to Iraq but deep down in my heart I knew it was always a matter of time..........Unfortunatly my family is in Southern California, Oregon, and Idaho:( which makes it a little harder.......I do have 2 good friends here in Texas, that I've known for 10 years. I just pray for my husband will come home safe and well:( .

My Hubby is RAF here in the UK. He came back from 4 months away last april and we spent christmas 2006 apart which was hard on us. I will be keeping you in my thoughts, and if you are having a bad day we will ALL be here for you! DO NOT hesitate to PM me if you are feeling sad. There is a good support network on here. hugs to you and your family in this trying time.

I wish you and your family all of the luck and safety in the world. If it makes it any easier, a few of my friends are over there, and they told me that they have wireless internet, and were talking to me while in their cots :D. They said, that there is a lot of time and ways for them to keep in touch with their family and freinds. I talk to them both everyday it seems. Except when they are on patrol duty. I know it isn\'t easy, and being military myself, I see how hard it is for the wifes and children. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I\'ll be praying for your husband\'s safety and for you and your children. I can\'t imagine having the one you love deployed.


I can remember during Vietnam having 2 Uncles there at the same time and how worried my Mother and Aunts were all the time. And the celebration when they returned safely.
