wow..i'm glad i don't have sprint!! |
seems customer service for cell phone companies is at an all time low. The whole economy is so bad that they will do what it takes to not 'lose' money, even if the money is not THEIRS in the first place. I had to ask to speak to a manager for american express last night regarding 3 $15 late charges they charged me when I have a balance on the card of under $100 and I pay more than the minimum every month. I should get a $0 bill the following month if the minimum is $15 and I pay $50. GGGRRR The manager refunded me 2 late fees. I should have called earlier so I understand, but how retarded are they? I told him I was paying it off and cancelling it, thats when they refunded me. Cell phone companies are the WORST! Tmobile was pretty good, if they have that in your area. I had that YEARS ago though, so they might be bad like the rest of them now... I just remember their customer service being heads above the rest of those companies! |
I had problems with sprint 6 years ago ,they said we were making phone calls and our bill was 300.00 i called and complained and they said we would have to pay it i got the run around also ,i told them to cancell my contract they said it would cost money to break my contract i told them oh well well i let the bill sit for 6 years threw out the years they would send me bills to settle for this amount and this amount i kept ignoring them finally last year they sent me one for 127.00 i took them up on it and put paid in full on my check ,so never got the 300.00 plus the 200.00 for breaking the contract they only got 127.00 from me . |
I had a similar problem with my new AT&T phone. Seems I can access the internet, but I did not know that, nor did I want to do that. But when I was playing around with the phone and getting familiar with it, seems I hit the wrong buttons a few times. I called about it and they immediately took the charges off and turned those features off the phone because I said I would never use them. Try to get to the right person. It all depends on whom you speak to. They should delete the charges as a courtesy. Oh, and be careful, if you have automatic payments they can simply charge your credit card. The fact the service rep hung up on you is inexcusable and since we know they record all calls, you definitely should mention it. Good Luck! |
Hmmmmm We have sprint too and noticed the same thing on our bill. Its wasn't 71 text messages, but it was like 20 text messages (which is about double or more our normal) + some data transfer or some crap that we never do and would have no reason to do. I've been meaning to go over it with our phones in hand to try to catch Sprint in a lie but now I'm definatley going to since I don't seem to be the only one. Also gotta love how text messages were 10 cents when we signed up, 15 cents a month or two later and now its 20cents?!?! Give me a break. :thumbdown |
any news on this? |
We have Sprint, and I've been overall very pleased with them in the last 7 years. They have always taken care of us when I've requested upgrades or other services. Our last bill was funky... $130 in extra charges for use of internet services. Hubby and I recently upgraded phones but did not rack up these charges. The only time I even use internet on my phone is to view a pic message; my highest bill for doing that was an extra $7. I e-mailed customer service and told them that I was very upset about the charges, not understanding WHERE they could have come from. Keep in mind that $33 of it was on hubby's line and the rest on my line so I know there was an error. We also were incorrectly charged an upgrade fee that was supposed to be a free offer. The associate took off all the extra charges. I then requested a block put on both lines since we couldn't track what caused the issue, and he handled it immediately. I was extremely pleased with the result. I hope you can solve your issues with as much satisfaction. |

Someone must have stolen your credit somehow. Not sure how it works, maybe someone finds out your ss # and then cell phone company never verifies it actually matches the name?? Anyway, you should be able to check your credit report and if its on there you can dispute it and then hopefully collections will leave you alone. |
