| I would have NEVER thought drugs did that to people, I guess I am just oblivious. I have a friend whose husband, prob 28-30 at the time, had a heart attack while driving.. he crashed and did not make it..... Makes me very thankful your husband got help when he did, I have a strong feeling things will work out fine for him. He REALLY sounds like he is doing well... I hope they find the problem soon so you guys can get back to your wonderful, young, happy lives!!! Take care... and MORE HUGS YOUR WAY!!

Hugs and prayers from our family to yours. And no, I don't think many people other than medical personnel even considered any unlying "reasons" for your hubby's heart attack. They just have to ask tough questions to come up with the right treatments.

| Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Tisha, like many others, I'm just seeing this. MUCH prayer and many hugs coming your way. The thought of drug abuse never entered my mind, actually. I was more thinking perhaps an undetected valve problem...?? It is only by the grace of God and my dr's efficiency that I live, today. I had an aortic valve replacement this summer - recovering from that. And, as someone else already advised, try not to take the questions from the hospital staff personally. They see so much stuff we'd never even dream of, and must rule things out. Abigail sends gentle *licks*.

| Yesterday the doctors ran many tests and did an 2-D Echo of Davids heart to find that his heart (sac) was swollen its called Acute Pericarditis. So all in all he did not in fact have a heart attack but had blockage due to the swelling. They say that in EKG and the enzyme count can read the same as a heart attack. Why they wanted him flown and treated as a heart attack patient. He has a few medications he will be on for the next few weeks and then in 2 weeks will go see a specialist to have more tests ran to make sure everything is getting better. I cannot express to all of you the tears of joy we both had, to know that he didn't have one was such a huge weight taken off of both of our shoulders. He was discharged last night, we stayed in the hotel (in which I couldn't get any wifi access to give you guys an update) We finally got home late this afternoon and exhausted to no end we have slept. I got up and cooked David a nice dinner and slept some more!I cannot begin to thank you for all of those prayers, I believe in my heart that G*d helped me through this and held my hand (as I am a really sensitive person) I am really surprised how well I held it together. And my wonderful second family her on YT to send all that positive energy I just BELIEVE in my heart it also helped in ways none of us can see. So again THANK YOU for everything your blessings, prayers, the kind words, support, PM's, and LOVE that we both felt out through this. As I think I said before we have nobody close to us so out through this all was David, myself, and Parker boy. So coming on here and seeing you guys be here is more then wonderful (okay I must stop before I start crying ) A few people were wondering about our new baby girl we were supposed to be getting on Friday, I called the breeder and expressed my concern with everything going on and she completely understood. The baby had a few people interested in her so I gave her the go ahead to give her to a different family. With everything going on I didn't think it would be fair for her to have to come into a stressful environment. ![]() WHEW...okay that is long enough for now... AGAIN, thank you and gosh if anyone every needs a single thing, help, or just a simple prayer I'll always be here for any of you! And David cannot express how thankful he is that you were all there for him. He got a big ol smile when I told him YT was praying for him and read him your messages!! xoxoxo ps. Parkers says hi to all your fur butts out there!! Last edited by parker; 01-10-2008 at 03:45 AM. Reason: spelling.. |

| WONDERFUL NEWS!!!! I know that I would take "meds" over "untreatable" anyday. You guys continue to tresasure each other as it sounds you guys have been given a "go ahead" on a longer, happy life together. Congratulations on a "treatable" report.
