| I would not worry about talking to the parents - I would go after the 50 year old man that threatened your son and his friend. Talk about being immature - he should know better - why he didn't knock on your door and speak with you and your husband is something you need to take up with him. He had no right threatening them - they are minors - and they had already gone and apologized. I have a few choice words for him but I know admin will not like them - so use your imagination - good luck - I would definately speak to him. |

| I'm sorry this happened. Kids do stupid things sometimes, but I believe you handled it beautifully. Really, I admire you as a mom - you recognized what your son did was wrong and made him apologize and you felt bad for the elderly couple too. In my opinion, that should have been the end of it. What the couple's son did after that was over the top. You could probably get a RO against him, although he was probably just being a tough guy and thought he was "protecting" his parents. He really should pick on someone his own size (and age) because you had everything under control. How much smarter he would have looked if he had just knocked on your door and discussed the situation with you and your DH.

| Just my .02...I agree with above posters. File a police report. That was inexcusable to frighten the boys in that manner. Completely wrong.

| There was a kid somewhere around me (I think it was Boca Raton ) that got shot dead from doing that We used to play the ding dong ditch all the time, it's completely harmless, but kinda rude, so don't be too hard on him
