I would but he let it go too long before cutting, some were 10 inches long and so tough, had to throw it away. Told him that I would do the cutting next year.
Did you see where FLTink, Lisa, got the okra from The Fresh Market in Tampa? I just had cataract surgery and could not see to drive that far, ordered them on line, delicious.

Get this ... so I move from Texas to Washington State and I'm finally kinda getting settled in... I go to a grocery store here in WA State and notice on the shelf Texas Style Okra Pickles, made in Texas.

So whats funny about that? --> I didn't ever see these in Texas all the years & decades I lived there!

That is the only brand I can find up here in central pa too! But only in mild...I can't even remember the brand I used to buy out in Oklahoma...but boy do I miss it! I have my one son hooked on them.. so when I buy them I have to buy two jars...one for him, one for me.

That is one of my favorite foods. I use to pick them right out of the plant and eat it row. the seeds and crunchy. I like them in gumbo, just broiled in souse, but not fried. The slimier the better

Yes... I thought about the Okra thread last week,... but I restrained myself from posting in it.. it was REALLY HARD though.. I had to walk AWAY from the computer...
