LOL. I was talking about the frozen okra. :) I was just at Wal Mart and I forgot to look for them. :( I just finished my jar of pickled okra last night. I didn't have the ingredients to make your "recipe" so I just crunched them down.

Good grief, my mouth is SO watering while I post this. :eek::rolleyes:

Hello fellow Okra ladies! Long time no See.

Okra-Dokey, I have news - I am moving from Texas to Washington State here real soon... I wonder if I can grow Okra up there? I'll invite Tigers Mom over for fried Okra if I grow some. :wavey::jump28ib:

It did grow well but the weather has to be hot and I see that you have had a cool summer. It does not take up much space either.
Do the markets sell it there??

WooHoo!!! I cut my first Okra for 2008!!!! yesterday morning, picked about 2 bushels of purple hulls peas,, shelled those and put em up,, and have my fresh okra to boil up here TODAY!!! I can hardly wait for suppertime and its only 6:42 AM!!!! lol:D

I'm sure the markets must but I haven't been around to any lately to check. I'm thinking that tomorrow may be the day to start looking. :rolleyes:

Our summer is no longer cool. Today was 93 and extremely humid. Tonight was thunder storms and tornados. I live by Elk River - northwest about 30 miles from Minneapolis. I lived in the city all my life till 9 years ago when we moved here and I love it. I just wish the spiders didn't get so darn big!!!:D

Our family is in Burnsville, Appley Valley and Malica, they had some bad weather also.
SPIDERS and HUMIDITY!!! FL is humid everyday even in the winter sometime, and you want to see a spider, here they are as big as a salad plate and I am scared to death of them. I saw one in the house, hugh, way up on the wall, grabbed my cell phone, went out the door and left it open so that I could keep an eye on it, called my girlfriends and they came over and killed it for me. I would have never gone back in the house with that monster.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

:eyetearss:eyetearss I think I may have done the exact same thing if I saw a spider that big. I probably would have taken my dogs out with me. :rolleyes: I would totally freak out.. can't stand those things. :thumbdown So why do so many people want to live in FL if there are so many bugs/pests and the weather is so dang hot and humid? :confused: :confused:

We live in FL and stay in the a/c when it is hot and humid, or get in the pool or go to the beach, like you in the winter when it is -20, our mosquitos are not as big as yours but the spiders are. We have an exterminator so I do not get bugs in the house. I only lived in MN from mid April to Sept. We stayed that one year that it snowed 3 feet on Holloween so started leaving earlier. I really miss the 3 seasons.
