| LOL. No you probably aren't the only one.  It's a vegetable that is famous "down south" in the US. Of course us northerners like it too. It gets really slimey in liquid - as in soups. Sounds like those southern folk like it deep fried a lot. Or, as I like it (since I don't have much choice) is chopped fresh and sauted in a pan with butter and maybe a spice or two sprinkled on it. Or you can get it pickled. To me, they tasted just like regular pickles. Seems like people either hate it or love it. |

|  WOOHOO!!! I've been home in Louisiana since last Tuesday,, been home watching my OKRA GROW!!! and its JUST ABOUT TO SET BLOOM!!! I have tiny peas,, will be ready to start pickin in about a week,, we pulled our first watermelons!!! I'm SO Happy to see the Great Okra Thread alive again!!!
