well last night i was wishing for fresh boiled okra,, but not getting that this time of year,, so,, i boiled up CABBAGE!! almost as good as Okra!! cabbage,, salt, pepper,little onion salt and lotsa Bacon!! yum!! :) Long Live the Okra Thread!!! :teethysmi |

i want some good southern food, how does this sound, some fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits and some good ol' fried okra.... I havnt eaten like that in a long time oh and finish it all off with some apple pie a la mode I'm hungry cant ya tell:D |

Well, one of my okra plants is starting to stick it's head out of the dirt!!!! :yay_jump: :yay_jump: I hope all the seeds sprout and grow - then I will have a garden full of okra this summer.:D I am going to need a very good recipe for breaded okra, though.:) I've only had it sauted and I loved it like that but I need to try it breaded. :rolleyes: |
