I've heard of it, but never tried it. I've thought about trying it before. Let us know if it works! |

I may get started tommorow. Growing up my parents made us drink the castor oil, which was horrible. So putting it on my face is something I would rather do:D |

Oh gross! Why would they make you do that?! Im not sure I even know what it's for!? Ive read that it's better to get a good quality EVOO rather than the store brand... |
I usually purchase my EVOO from a small organic store in our neighborhood. Drinking the castor oil cleans your insides. Its really horrible tasting stuff. Growing up in the caribbean, every 1 had a remedy or a recipe for great skin. None were pleasant:eek: |
hmm i wanna try it! |
I'm intrigued too...please keep us posted on how its working |
When I went thru esthetician school, my teacher insisted that the best thing for oily skin was to cleanse it with oil preparations b/c the only thing that dissolves oil is other oil (or something to that effect....this was in 1980)....she was way ahead of her time and an excellent teacher. I've never forgotten the things she taught me and it's interesting that finally these things are coming to light! |
This is very interesting. I have oily skin and suffer with Acne. I am about to be 30 :( and it drives me crazy my skin looks like a 16 year olds still so I may have to try this. Any other results out there? Also ... let me get this straight? I stop cleaning my face with my Neutrogena cleanser right? I start cleaning with this oil mix and than apply my makeup after I wash it off? I should do this 2 times a day or just one time a day? Also do I still apply moisturizer and my primer before my make up in the morning? Sorry I am just a bit confused. |
I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience with this method... |

I Had A Greek Patient That Used Olive Oil Everywhere. I Was Shocked To Walk In And Seeing Her Slather The Stuff On...she Was 60 And Tanned. She Looked 40. She Said She Had Done It Al Her Life. Her Skin Was Incredible |

I do it twice a day..I made my mixture about 60 EVOO/40 CO because my skin is more oily and doesn't dry out too often. If you are mose sensitive, cut back on the CO. I put it on my face and massage it into my skin. Then, I take a washcloth and run it under hot water/squeeze it out. I place it on my face until I feel it cooling down. I do that twice and the third time, I gently rub my face with the washcloth to get all of the oil out. I also added Vitamin E Oil to help reduce my acne scars. It freaked my out at first, since I have oily skin, to slather OIL all over my face! But let me tell you, my skin feels SO SOFT! I bought moisturizer when I got my OCM "ingredients" but I haven't even used it! I haven't seen results with my acne yet..but it's only been since Friday..and I have heard that it can take up to a month. But I can definitely tell a difference in the way my skin LOOKS and FEELS! So far so good for me! |

Okay once I get my products I will let you know how it is going for me too. ;) |
I think I'm going to try this too. I'm 22 and still have acne just as bad as I did in high school. Both my mom (54) and my sister (35) have acne too. I would love to be the first to break free of this "family tradition"! |

I have to say that genetics have a LOT to do with good or not so great skin, but drinking a LOT of water and staying away from the sun and smoke, taking antioxidants and getting proper rest and nutrition will make a huge difference in your skin. I took this off a website of my former teacher's company and thought it might be of some interest; I'm NOT trying to sell anything and I am not endorsing the specific product; only the theory behind it: Hy'dro'phil'ic: Water loving or water soluble. In 1979, Eva's Esthetics launched their skin care line featuring Hydrophilic Oils because they discovered nothing cleanses the skin quite like oil . We developed four different formulations of Hydrophilic Oils to ensure that regardless of your skin type (dry, reactive, impure, combination/oily), you can still experience the benefits of cleansing with an oil. These are the steps: When Hydrophilic Oil is massaged into the skin, the oil bonds with the debris on the skin surface, increasing circulation. Adding Herbalizer, a sugar-based extract with essential oils, turns the cleanser into a hydrophilic emulsion- a water soluble base. Cool water is added, breaking down the emulsion, making it lose its oily feel and allowing it to be completely rinsed off. The cool water further helps with circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the surface, and carrying away the waste. We are confident that you will get fabulous results, and encourage you to call for your complimentary custom sample! I know how self conscious people can be when their skin isn't picture perfect, so I hope this might help someone! |
Okay ladies, I need help! Where do I find caster oil? While grocery shopping tonight, I found the Extra Virgin Olive OIl but no caster oil in sight. |
It's by the laxatives! Ask the pharmacist...mine was behind the counter! |
