| What was the hardest part of planning the wedding?? As a lot of you know I'm planning my wedding for 6/7/08. It's really fun but I feel like I'm in floral pergatory. I can't seem to decide on a florist. I have two that are out of the box thinkers but their prices are like sooooo different. One is WAYYYYY cheaper than the other but I don't know if that means their quality is less. All their stuff is BEAUTIFUL but I think this other lady REALLY knows her stuff. Anyway I'm going to make a decision next week. Both florists are coming to the hall and church with me this weekend to give me ideas. If this other florist lowers her price I will go with her. This has been the hardest decision in the planning phase. Everything else came much easier. What was the hardest part of planning your wedding? I already have my dress, bridesmaids, their dresses, venue, church, photographer/videographer, decorator, and date. All I'm missing is florist and honeymoon location

| I think the flowers were tough for me too. I wanted something simple. They turned out beautiful though. I think i might have a pic of my bouquet on my myspace. Anyway. They key to success is communication. My wedding planner let the venue set up the tables. He didnt communicate to the people arranging the table that my centerpieces were floating candles. So when they lit them before the receptions.. they all burned down..burned out and left my glass vases black from soot. That was the most disappointing.. oh and the waiter spilling vinegrette down the side of my wedding gown sleeve. OH... they put my wedding cake on a table in front of a glass wall looking over water. the sun made my cake bubble out on one side. IN the end...it was such a beautiful day and such a fun party...i didnt really care that much. |

| Have you picked out the caterer yet? I think that was the toughest part for me....

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. I just hope I enjoy it and don't freak out if something goes wrong

| Well the venue is at a country club and they cater, so we're good there whew one less thing to decide. Most places here you can't bring in your own caterer, it comes with the venue.

| Congratulations once again on your upcoming wedding. I have helped my two daughter's plan their's and we had a wonderful time doing it. I would say the hardest part was: 1. The guest list/ So many to invite but the room only held 200 2. The seating arrangements/ Who in the family is not talking to who and what friends are not friendly with whoever! After we got past the above the rest was just plain fun to plan and enjoy. The day goes so fast try and have your pictures taken before the cocktail hour so you can enjoy it too. Have family pictures taken as well so your not taken from your reception. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. |

Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | Congrats! You must be getting more and more excited with each passing day! The hardest part for me was wanting to please everyone. Lots of people offered to sing for me, I had several offers for officiators, and so on and I felt like I had to include all of these people or risk making them feel bad. It was SO stressful. I thought the rest was fun though. |

| Congrats on your up coming wedding!!! I got married 1-1/2 yr ago and the hardest part for me was figuring out who to invite and who not invite. We had a small wedding in my parents backyard and could only invite 100 people. We decided only to invite people who took part in on our lives on a regulary basis. I had to keep reminding my dh that for every one person you invite you count as two. Last edited by Rockster's Mom; 01-03-2008 at 11:13 AM. |

| Great!! We ended up doing the same thing..I had a caterer in mind that I wanted to use, but the venue would not let me use anyone outside of them, so then I started wondering if I should find a different venue. Ahh!!! But we ended up going with the original venue, and we were very pleased

| I have some ideas. I'd like to mesh the three ideas below, because we love them all. Our colors are burgundy, fusia and burnt orange...

| So you still haven't figured out a flower place?!!!!! hehe. I FINALLY sent my deposit in to my flower place. I went with the people that knew what they were talking about even though they were quite a bit more. But at least I can rest assure that they have the same vision that I have with my flowers. My hardest thing yet has been my CAKE!!!! But I think I might have found a winner on that one. YAY! Good Luck with everything!!!! We don't have long at all!

| I do too but it's very labor intensive therefore becomes very expensive. We're talking $300 per table and at 35 tables (350 people), you do the math So the florists are going to implements our favorite parts of all 3 pictures.
