I am here. My husband finally got off the computer so I went on YT.

No big plans today, Christmas Eve is always the "relaxing day" for us. Everything is done, just waiting for tomorrow so we can open gifts.

Well...I don't want to be depressing but since it's my last holiday in my house ever

....I'm going to be sad... and then.....get it out of my system and go to my parents tommorrow with a SMILE on my face....

This week I put down an application fee & deposit on a new apartment and am keeping my fingers crossed I get approved - I won't know anything till after Christmas but this place will be 5 minutes from my new job and seems nice and quiet...

As far as today though - I just can't leave the girls alone on Christmas Eve so tonight I'll be with them and pretend I'm with my husband - just that one more time in OUR house.

Oh V, you make my heart grow all the time! You know, like in the Dr. Seuss Grinch special where his heart grew 3 sizes that day!

You are so full of love all the time, and we all feel it and it is passed on through YT. I will be thinking of you and you Christmas Eve "celebration" today, and I'm sure it will be hard, but it is probably best for you to allow yourself this moment of closure and reminiscing. I joined right before your hubby died, and I have felt for you since day 1. I have never been through what you have in the last few months, but you are truly inspiring because you have sucked it up and remained strong. I'm sure this is one of the hardest times in your life, but just think about how far you have come, and what lies ahead.

We opened our presents on Saturday, the kids came home and it was really nice. The old homestead is quiet now so the main excitment is over. The pups are back to normal after company and it should be a very quiet evening for us. Another storm is moving in and the snow will be piling up again. The pups are so cute when they come in after playing in the snow (a total of maybe 5 minutes).

Just checking while taking a break from cleaning, wrapping gifts, laundry and decorating......nothing like waiting until the last minute. My new niece will be here this afternoon for her first Christmas......to time is moving pretty slow today!

Villette, You are in my thoughts and prayers today.....as holidays are hard enough, but with all you have been through these last few months you have your plate full......but you have proven to be a very strong person that can/will come though this....let yourself have some time for those memories!

I'm planning on doing my Annual Christmas Eve people watching! I love going to the mall on Christmas Eve and watching all the people buying last minute gifts... the look on some people's faces are classic!

I'll be heading out in a few hours! so in the mean while, I here on YT!

I almost didn't want to say anything about the apartment cause I don't want to jinx it - but the location is TOO perfect and it seems to be a pretty quiet complex - and the best thing is I have my OWN covered parking and a little patio for the girls....my fingers are SO crossed. I went back this morning to give them my firstborn

LOL - man - I never realized how hard it would be to rent a little apartment in Houston these days

For the last two years I was travelling in tropical places for Christmas. It was great and I LOVED hanging out on the beach on Christmas day instead of stressing over presents, cooking etc...

But I must admit, it feels pretty nice to be sitting on my couch with nothing to do. Especially since I am sitting here with my new puppy on my lap!
