| Anyone interested in knowing how long it takes a little rescued chihuahua girl to turn into a spoiled little diva? It takes exactly 3 weeks. That's how long I have had little Izzy-Belle. She gone from, "Don't touch me!" to, "Well, OK I guess it kinda feels good when you scratch my chest so Ok" to "Mama, will you please scratch my chest?" and now its, "Hey you! I'm standing here waiting! Scratch my chest!" It's great though. I am so glad she feels comfortable enough with me to be that way. I look back at the first thread I posted when I got her and it just breaks my heart. She pounces on my chest and gives me kisses, bites my nose, chews my thumb while I scratch her chest, we have learned to communicate with each other, she lays on her back and lets me zerbert her tummy. What is REALLY funny is that she will be playing with me and then Mike will come in and she will run and plant her butt on my chest. Mike sit down and call her and she will reach waaaaaay out and give him a kiss, but he has to lean over because her butt isn't leaving my chest. LOL Its really cute to see her stretch way out there while keeping firmly planted at the same time. She's eating like a little champ and weighs 1lb 2 oz now! I know ya'll are probably getting tired of Izzy-Belle updates I am just soooo proud of her!

Speaking for myself, I don't think I'd get tired of hearing how good she is doing! It was heartbreaking to know how bad it was for her, and I think we are all glad this story has a happy ending! I hate reading sob stories about puppies that don't make it! Hugs and Happy Holidays to you and your family Aerrica!!!

| Your post made me smile from ear to ear. What a sweet story. She sounds like such a doll! And I'm sure that the exact time line that you reported will come in handy for someone in the future who is waiting for their rescue to turn diva!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yay yay yay!!!! Can't believe I missed this update! I SO love hearing this, it just warms my heart, esp. when I think of your original post and how timid she was. Amazing what love can do for a little creature! Can't wait to hear of more evolving diva-ness!
