| ![]() She is only 27 years old and has be diagnosed with Bi-Polar. She has lost 40 lbs. in less than 3 months now weighing around 95 lbs. She is seeing a doctor but is not getting any better. She has a little girl that is 9 years old and a little boy who is only 4. These children need their mother so bad. Her husband has her totaly dependent on HIM for everything. I think this is a lot of the problem. He has her believing that she can't survive with out him. She won't go out of the house and she has severe panic attacks. She shakes constantly and is getting very weak. We have her talked in to flying to Florida for treatment which could take anywhere from 30 to 60 days, but we are so afraid that her husband will convince her that she does not need treatment. The lady that we are talking with at the hospital said that she has been accepted for treatment. They will book the flight and all she has to do is show up. Her husband trys to act like that he is really concerned about her but makes NO attempt to get medical treatment for her. Please keep her and our familes in your prayers.

| ![]() I am praying for your daughter. I am also a mother of a daughter and although she is only 13, I can really feel your pain. I can't imagine the sense of helplessness. Sending hugs.

| ![]() I am so sorry that your daughter is sick, she will be in my prayers as well as you and your family. It is sad that her husband has such control over her and is not looking out for her best interest and health..it saddens me that he is not being supportive and standing behind the medical attention that she needs. ((hugs))

Donating YT 10K Club Member | ![]() Mental illness is a horrible disease that sometimes robs the sufferer of the ability to realize they need help. I didn't see that she was on any medications...she will require these to improve, unfortunately it takes quite a bit of time before they become effective. She needs a psychiatrist...not a therapist because only a psychiatrist can prescribe the medication she needs. Here's a site that you may want to browse for information... www.nami.org. There are local chapters in every state. I'm very sorry....it is awful and I wish the best for her...and her kids. Take care ~

| ![]() I am so sorry you and your family are going through this. I will say a prayer that she is able to get the treatment she needs. I hope her hubby starts thinking of her best interests, rather than his own. Big hugs to you.

| ![]() GrannyB, all my prayers shall be going for your daughter's recovery and then for her to be aware that she is better than her husband is letting her believe . He is probably trying to control her. Once she sees she can exist without him, she will blossom. She is still young. I hate to see mental & emotional captivation (similar to the Stockholm Syndrome). good luck and keep us posted, please. I shall be thinking of you, and I do hope she goes to the clinic in FL ... ![]()
