It was on the news this morning that the pet store where Paris Hilton and Spears gets their dogs was shut down yesterday for fraud. They claimed they got their dogs from private breaders when they actually come from mills in Arkansas and claim that their pets are healthy when they are not, according to the director of the Humane Society. Yipeee!!!
They were operating without a permit. The news said that they will be able to reopen when they get the permit paid for but at least it's a start! And very bad business for the store to get so much negative publicity!

Unfortunately, stupid celebs will still probably get their pets from there anyway.

Good! It serves them right! It's a shame they are so greedy. They are probably charging an exhorbitant amount due to their clientele and they still have to cheat to make more money.

jeez. If that's all it takes to get a pet store shut down, why are any of them still open!?

Obviously they all come from puppy mills.

That's great that its shut down! One pet store at a time.

They have 48 hours to get the permit so I'm sure they'll be back open tomorrow.

And because its Xmas time, the pet stores are hiking up their prices on these puppies. Like I said on the other thread, I asked the clerk how much the tiny yorkie was and the clerk said $3900.00!!!

I hope that celebs will QUIT buying from places like this, so those who look up to them will NOT buy from them too!

almost $4,000 for a Yorkie and they do not know where it comes rom? or if its pedigreed is noteworthy?
Such a shame.
Puppy mills hold be as easy to shut down and publicize ...
